I'm surprised these weren't more popular on the drag strip, stick a big stall converter in it and hang on....... ;D

They are and they do. fast bike racers hate them.

Stored 12 years! Sounds just like a fine wine, ready to be sampled....... :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Hi Ray, I must have missed this thread as I didn't visit this section of the forum much.
You started the thread before I bought my CB750 automatic in 09 and then it got resurrected in 2012 before I got to ride the bike after it was rebuilt.
With a little bit of know how, they can be turned into rocket ships running in the 11 second bracket on the drag strip.

Nice, well 12 years after this thread started when I said I wouldn't mind one, I bought Vik's A for cheap, and it'll be delivered to my place on the 20th. I have to keep it stock standard until I have a number plate for it, then it's getting an 836cc F2 top end, should be a fun ride. And yes, I have a stock seat coming, to replace that horrible American bucket....... ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hi Mike, it's going to be over 100 HP next time Billy takes it out with your 1,000cc billet block.
I can see it running low 11s or possibly high 10s when fully run in.
Thanks for all the work you put into it over the years.

Nice one Terry, the 836 kit is a good starting point for the auto but be sure to put a better cam in it while you have it down.
The DP295 cam from Dynoman is by far and away the best for the auto.

Thanks Sammy, I've got a spare Andrews A Grind cam that I'm gonna put in it, they're a nice "drop in" cam, I have one in my K2 with Wiseco 836cc big bore kit, and it's a great all rounder. Should be fun. ;D
