I Google imaged it and this came up...

Interesting.

Oh, and the Lockheed Lounger is pretty awesome too.  I'd post a pic, but I don't want to spoil the surprise.   :)

In 2007, one of Marc Newson's famous Lockheed Lounge pieces set a new auction record for a living designer's work. That piece sold for $1.5 million.

If that 360 thing is called "Lockheed Lounge"... I cannot for the life of me figure out why..

The Real Lockheed Lounge.. is about 100 times cooler than that creation.

ALRIGHT PEOPLE.....(that's right, I'm yelling) Please post links along with your comments if you would be so kind.  I search Lockheed Lounge, and there must be a hundred links.  Not enough time in the day to be reading all of those.

I suffer from lynx deprivation of me fingerrtipz.. ;)

Just search images... see what comes up the most... I did not see much bikestuff.

We are working on the wrong stuff to make money apparently.. >:(

The frame on the 360 looks like a lot of time & effort went in, and it looks good..........but not near the drop-dead gorgeous flowing design ..ssoooo well executed.. that the Lounge is..

plus you got to look a bit closer to see how it id put together.. thus the name..

geez you guys... you need some google lessons.

if you want to know what the lockheed lounge is FIRST CONSIDER THE NAME... that's right, just sit there and consider what it might be.

secondly... there is google for links
google pictures
google videos
google maps
google news
and google MORE

in this situation... the link type is not your best friend... go to images.

and actually... when i google lockheed lounge... the entire first page is full of links that will take you to what we're talking about.

and please call it lockheed lounge.  the designer didn't name it the lockheed lounger and then sell it for 1.5 mil.   :P

now, will someone please rip this soapbox out from under me?!

I can take a bike that's an ergonomic disaster if it looks good and performs... but wtf is with a chair that must be as useable as a barbed wire jockstrap?

i kindof doubt it was ever meant to be used for lounging.

Madonna used it in a video or a movie.

Not sure what you mean by unusable..

I like the look and they way they made it(certainly not the easy way).. and the fact that it just plain, cant really be imprved much to look better visually..

Maybe I am wrong on that, but I doubt that it made the impact it did, and fetched such a price because it wasnt appealling to most.

I think some of the metalpounders, are maybe in the wrong business..
