Yeah.. I wish I could have been there. I miss riding with you guys (even though you guys won't get off my case about riding @ 45..when the rest of you were doing 60). Beers, tattoos, bald heads..I feel we're all brothers. I just like to get on my high horse sometimes..about the fact that I've ridden basically Hondas for the past 35 years.
Hey..about tape worms, et al..a real simple way to get over that! Just ask if they've frozen the fish beforehand (most sushi restaurants do)..or ask for the stuff cooked. That's what I do. And I think your concerns are valid (seeing that we're both "docs" of sorts). But I usually put my implicit trust in the chefs in Japan (well almost)..when I'm eating sushi. Hello Jerry..you've got to get out of that strictly Kentucky country boy cuisine sometimes (awful good..but somewhat limited @ times).
Let's some of us "brave souls" get together sometime for Japanese food and beer (doesn't necessarily have to be sushi..as you know from your soiree' in Japan). If we can only get Heffay and Gordon to "ride and dine" (any one else here)..with us old faarts..
I'm actually going to Japan in June..be back mid July (first time there in over 5 years!)..but am open to whatever..after that.
