It's a K6. I start to get the hop around 31mph on excellent asphalt (I'll have to go for a ride to figger out exactly what speeds it happens). It seems to quiet down around 38 to 40. I lined up the concentric circles on the Avon AM26. I had mags and went back to an original front wheel (19) that I don't have much history on. Acceleration does not seem to cure it except when the increased speed is enough - not sure about braking.
ahhh, the runout. There's an idea. I will have to have a look at that.
As a matter of record, I also just put new seals in the shocks, 5.2 oz of 15w fork oil in each, new tapered steering head bearings. Other than the hop, I am blown away by how much better it feels. Prior to the changes, my head bearings were very notchy (at the center and near both locks, how weird?!) and both forks seemed very low on oil (one was leaking for sure). (While I had the shocks off, I polished them as many on this forum have. What a nice upgrade - They looked awful before.. white crusty yucky and now.. nearly chrome in finish.)
Now I need to find the good deal on the beads

My local Harley dealer is the closest distributor but I'd prefer to go mail order if possible.
