I am using a GSXR rear wheel so with that front sprocket i still had to have a little machined off the rear sprocket carrier but it was the best way to line it all up and still be able to use wider tyres...and a better chain, o ring or x ring chains hit the engine cases, with the offset sprocket you don't have that problem... ;)

this will be a tight fit, but I think with a 39 tooth sprocket, it should work pretty well.
the 45 tooth makes it not fit at all....hopefully it will work with the 39, i can go as small as a 36 if needed

this is going to be a VERY tight fit, but I think the 160 tire on the ninja swingarm will work!

have a 39 tooth sprocket on the way, which will get rid of the sprocket interference

Front looks nice.  8)

Here is what I did on my "Modern tire" on the stock swingarm.
Started by looking pretty much the same as yours:

The chain was off line from the front sprocket by about 1/8". I was going to try and find offset sprockets to make it all work, but then I got the idea of just trimming down the sprocket carrier by 1/8". (Part #6 in the fiche):

I just had the section that holds the sprocket itself trimmed in - there was plenty of meat there to do it. Now my sprockets (and chain) line right up and I don't have to worry about finding odd-ball replacement sprockets when its time to change them. And still plenty of clearance between chain and tire.

should I keep the box section swing-arm silver, so it kinda shows off the fact that it's aluminum.....or do i paint it black, to match the frame?

Brushed aluminum... Polished is a little too blingy. Regardless it is going to look pretty damn cool.

39 tooth rear sprocket will work fine with a 17 tooth (stock size) front sprocket.

stock length chain is no longer long enough.

When measuring clearances, keep in mind that tires do swell under riding conditions as they warm up.....so clearance right now, doesn't mean clearance on a hot sunny day at 70 MPH. ;)

Leave the swingarm raw aluminum, IMHO.

P.S.  Steel wool will make the swingarm look KILLER!....just make sure the "scratches" all go in one direction!

I need to get some bars so i can roll it outside, which means I need risers.

I also don't have the new swinger on yet. need to get some machining done, then i can mount it.

don't have much room in my dining room to get a pic like that!

I WISH I DID!

a little better.....

well I had to mock it up to see how far off my chain would be.....and it's right on with the wheel aligned right and everything....

BUT I need to take some meat off the carrier, and fab up some swing arm spacers....

How much do you need to clear?  Maybe you could file down the left side of the two parts of that clevis ever so slightly and put a coule small spacers on the right, like what's used to shim RWD differentials when they're setup.
