Recommend machine shop in Toronto (west) area?
« on: August 15, 2009, 07:34:14 AM »
I'm about to start overhauling a CB750 (1977) engine and I'm reading some of Hondaman's posts about having cylinders bored out and "make sure that they are parallel".

I wonder if someone can recommend a machine shop in the Toronto area (preferably west or Mississauga or Brampton) that could competently and for a reasonable price, do this kind of work on a motorcycle engine?

I haven't broken the engine down yet, so I'm not quite sure what I'm going to find, but I expect that I might need this service.

I want it to be stock when I'm finished, no customization or performance improvements, as much as possible just like Honda made it.

Also, I plan to strip the paint off the case and have it abrasive blasted. I've read the posts here about not using sand. I only know sand blasters. In the same area, if anyone can recommend someone who can do bead blasting or any of the other types suitable for aluminum, I'd be grateful.

Thanks!
