Sea Foam and PB Blaster...Miracle rust eaters?
« on: August 10, 2009, 07:25:21 PM »
Saturday morning I bought 4 bikes. Two were froze up. The 88 Yamaha Fazer I put alot of focus on getting it unfroze. Yesterday I shot PB Blaster down in the cylinders. Last night I got a call from one of the old guys I have been working on his bikes for awhile. He was telling me that he had a wheel bearing for a garden tractor on his bench. He had sprayed Blaster on it and it was sitting there soaking. He knocked over a can of Sea Foam on top of it. He said about 3 hours later the bearing spun free. Last night about 7 PM I put Sea Foam in the cylinders. 8:30 tonight the bike is freed up and running. I couldnt believe it. But it works.

seafoam + gas can melt a cheap plastic gas can
seafoam + 30wt oil is a good penetrating lube
seafoam + DOT3 takes off paint in a hurry

That is an inconceivably egregious transgression against my rudimentary concordance of socially shunned individuals.

I once used Seafoam to top off my battery.  Good thing was I was able to get 1.21 gigawatts from it.  Bad thing was I ended up in 1955.
