I usually don't shave from the beginning of October until the following Spring.  Keeps the face much warmer on those cold morning rides to, or cold late night rides home from work.

Haven't shaved it off since 1975, wanted to a few years ago. My wife strongly asked me not to, said she was afraid of what was underneath. In almost 30 years she has never seen me without it.

Yeah, I honestly doubt anyone would notice if I didn't shave for a month...  LOL!

I can't grow a beard.  Which is kinda nice, since I don't have to shave  ;D

I've had a couple of jobs in my life that didn't allow me to have facial hair.  I didn't stay at them very long. ;)  A well-groomed beard does not look unprofessional, and IMO, any employer who thinks that way is only showing themselves to be ignorant, closed-minded, and uncaring of their employees personal choices that have no effect on their job performance.  Not the kind of people I like to work for.

And what is the reason for not allowing facial hair?

Would your work performance suffer if you had a well-groomed beard?

I had a job like that too. Could have a stache but no beard. Also hair could not touch the collar. That is about as stupid as not allowing a beard if a person is well groomed.

Detracts from a military appearance. Well groomed mustache is all you can have.

The military didn't used to allow women either, so I'm sure they'll come around on this eventually. ;D
