Guess I better order new points and condenser, already have new oil filter and o rings.
OEM (TEC or ND) brands only.....Sudco, Daiichi, etc....aftermarket garbage.

Where can we buy the TEC and ND brand points and condensers ?
A little search-fu with the correct part number will show you who's got them.  You need the 1/4 and the 2/3
HONDA Part number for 1/4 is 30203-300-154 it replaces 30203-300-005.
Be sure it says TEC or Toyo(Electronics Corp)
They come up on ebay all the time, but are usually pricey when NOS.
I prefer buying multiple used, complete points plates.  Far less expensive and many good usable parts.

Cool, thanks. Being a long time Brit bike guy I am well versed in where to get the best parts. I have also learned quite a bit since recently acquiring my '73 and '74 Honda's. However, having not heard this before, I did order and install a Sudco kit on my CB750 and a set of Daiichi points and condensers was what I received from vintagecb750. Both kits are installed and seem to be working good so far. However, in the future, I will keep this advice in mind.

I worked on 4 of the 9 I bought this month. The best bike could sell for more than the entire batch cost. lucky finds.

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Went and looked at a planet blue 1975 750 that a guy called me about. He could not send a picture but luckily it was only 22 miles away. Price was getting pretty cheap as I was walking away. Supposedly has a title. Anybody want to fetch it around the Battle Creek, Michigan area or want a few more pictures PM me and I will give you his contact info. Remember sometimes things look better in pictures but I have seen worse.  ;)   :)   Eric

Nice, what sort of money Eric? I love those pipes! Pity about the busted fins, but good heads are out there, and everyone loves good head! Oh, and I wonder how your mates GT750K is going? I bought a 1972 GT750J from my cousin and it smoked so bad it actually fogged one of Melbourne's main streets one morning, turned out that the crank seals were shot and it was burning gearbox oil, it would destroy a new set of spark plugs every 100 miles or so, and at the time I didn't have the time or desire to fix it, but I wish I had it now, I'm 2 stroke deprived! ;D

Oh, and I rang Jeff at Ace Motorcycles to see how my new (to me) VTR1000 was coming along, and was surprised when he told me that it was all fixed, woohoo! I won't get it registered until next month, but I'll borrow his trade plate on Saturday and take it for a ride to see if it's gonna be as much fun as I think it'll be. Sweet.......... ;D

Warmed up my CB750 today with quick spurt - just to make sure it is ready to ride on Sunday in the Melbourne Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.

And cleaned a space in the garage to go and pick this up tomorrow - now that a talented mate of mine has finished building the custom pipes.

That's a nice looking pipe Cliff, even though I think I may have already contributed, I think I'd like to buy a ticket, and if I win, I'll donate it back again! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Today, I registered the '74 CB750 in my name, got my plate, mounted it and put a few miles on it. Coming back home, a motorcycle appeared in my rear view mirror and when I got to the stop sign, I let the dude pull up and he was on a '70's Kawasaki Four, blue and I imagine a 750. Not a Z1. Said hi and went on my way. Cool to run into another vintage bike owner.

Then, I started to attack my front fork seals as they are leaking. Got the left side completed and remounted but couldn't finish the right, so will do that side tomorrow or so. Not as hard as I thought it would be but took longer than I would have liked...no surprise there though ! All in all, very happy with today's completed tasks !!

Ha ha, problem is, if I win it I'll have to donate another bike to make room in my garage for it! Anyway, let me know when tickets go on sale mate, and I'll buy one. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Took note of the evidence of head leakage on both sides after last weekend's group charity ride, which involved a couple hours of highway commute to and from the event at 70-75mph.

I'm going to clean it up before Sunday's Distinguished Gentlemen's ride and then consider what I want to do about it over the winter. Maybe I rebuild my spare '74 or '77 550 engine and upgrade to the CI 605 kit.

Pulled the tank off to install new petcock.
PO had replaced the tube/screens with a solid metal tube, so I would be "out of gas" with half a tank left.

Well it's a long weekend in Canberra this weekend, so instead of spending less than 24 hours at home each weekend, I'm here for 2 full days, woohoo! My poor old BMW R1100GS has been sitting neglected since I brought it back to make room for my VFR750, (only room for two bikes in Canberra, and I've got my Yamaha FJR1300 there as well) so I decided to fire it up yesterday so I could ride over to see my Honda VTR1000, which is having some work done on it over at Ace Motorcycles.

Sadly the battery didn't have enough "oomph" to fire it up, so I used my jump start pack to fire it up, hoping that the alternator would put enough charge into the battery so it'd start again when I went to leave Ace. It did, so I rode over to Bunnings (big box hardware store) to buy some paint for another project, then gassed it up on the way home.

Today I decided to take it for a longer ride, even though it was threatening rain. I had a great ride, especially after I checked the tyre pressures which were both more than 20 psi less than they should have been, (oops) I've had this bike around a year, but I don't think I've ever checked them? Anyway, it did seem to roll better with the old Michelin Anakees pumped up.......... All up I did around 80 miles, and I really could have kept going, but I had promised the wife that I wouldn't be too long. Oh well, next weekend's another long weekend, so hopefully, I'll get out again............. ;D
