Well I won an Ebay auction for 3 Henry Abe wheels, so now I'm the proud owner of 4 Henry Abe wheels, but sadly I've now got 3 rears and only 1 front, damn it! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

A shout out and Thank-you to member Sean for helping an 'Old Timer' wrestle my K6 put back together engine into its frame Sunday. Worked a little more yesterday afternoon, finished mounting it up, cleaned out the gunky oil tank and lines, mounted up the coils and other little chores.  Poured a qt of oil down the top end and a couple more in the tank.  The good is the electric starter works though the button wants to stick a little and the oil light functions and I am running out of parts that were in boxes. The bad is I have no spark at the plugs,no headlight, neutral switch or tail lights  :-X  So next step is to start going through the wiring and see where I have power and where I don't. Headlight bucket is a mess as I found a Jammer pigtail stuffed in there and a couple of 'mystery' wires, one with an inline fuse-- Hmm.   Hopefully get the carbs officially done and mounted and work out the electrical gremlins and I can say " Fire in the Hole"  ;)

Sold another one! Well not strictly true, a workmate is selling his late model car, so I asked him for a generous (to me) trade in on one of my VTR1000's, and so we're both happy. That's 3 bikes gone inside a week! Beat that Eric! ;D

I got to spend an hour getting rained on while I diagnosed and then replaced the ignition switch on my 550. No intermittent failures, just worked fine until it didnt. Luckily it was just a quick hop up the road so walking it back wasn't terrible. Glad to have it back on the road, even with the rain it was a couple days of torture not being able to start the bike.

Ha ha, well putting 6 of them into storage did it for me Eric, somehow it broke the spell and I realised that if I couldn't even look at them I didn't need them. I'm gonna get rid of a total of 11 this year, and just keep my 5 favourites........... ;D

Does everyone in the US have a therapist? I mean, I can understand why, but it almost seems like a "right of passage" to have one? Personally, I stay as far away from them as I can, it's a well known fact that they only studied mental health so they could understand why they are so screwy! ;D

Does everyone in the US have a therapist?

Probably in LA and NYC. My therapy consists of wide open spaces for things that go fast and things that go bang.

It's more of a popularity thing - if her GF has one then she has to also. Kinda like divorce.  The new normal. Probably why everyone is sooo fukd up?
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Ironically, motorcycle parking is right outside the Behavioral Medicine wing at my VA hospital.

As they say some must die so others can live. Well I took the dremel cutting wheel to my #4 float pin after farking around with it for too long over the course of this K6 resurrection project. Tried all the tricks. The other 3 carbs were done and ready and this was the first brass pin that ever beat me. Cutting it was better than breaking a post. Off to the parts bin for another float and pin and clean this last sucker up.
Posted recently I wasn't getting power to the coils and spark at the plug. Tracked that down to what must be the kill switch and have bypassed for now and have juice. Getting very close to it first start up in many moons,my favorite part of these project  :) All my boxes it came in are almost empty !!  Last pic is the before shot.

Really like the way you lacquered the carbs.  Is it a protective coating?  ::)

Hmmnnn, well I know a shrink who rides a bike, so not sure if that's true, unless he parks it around the back............. ;D

Actually I do not have a therapist but for some reason my wife's tree hugging daughter actually thinks I have a problem. Always greets me with a "Did you buy any more" as she is shaking her head and has talked about it to Mom. Its ironic that her father,my wife,s ex, has a bike and we take a ride together occasionally  :D :D

Sounds like you married the wrong partner in that deal...
Wife loves going with me buying a bike, always up for a road trip plus she gets a free lunch out of the deal   ;D
