Recently I had to install a new set of case cover screws on the 81' Suzuki GS 1100E. So I decided to try out the DeWalt cordless 1/4" impact with a JIS bit. We've been using the Vessel Impacta screwdrivers to remove the screws. Sometimes it takes a while to get the screws loose with the Impacta's and penetrant.

I only had gotten one screw loose so far when I broke out the DeWalt. I finished the entire job in 30 minutes. I had always been hesitant to use it for fear of stripping the screw heads. After that I used it to pull off the case covers with the stuck screws on the 78' KL 250 with the same results.

The Dewalt make a nice cordless;tough to beat the variable speed with a job like that.
Does it also have Hi & Lo speed final gearing ?

The spigot is at the bottom of the switch wire, bolted to the Tarozzi brake lever
It’s my 750F1 project bike.  I’m probably one of the few people that changed the rear disc brake back to drum brake with cable operation
You’re forgetting every CR750 out there! Lol

We had a nice warm day (50F) here in Golden, CO after the frigid temps we endured not long ago. These are some shots from Lookout Mountain (7,377 ft). It's a nice little ride up out of town and comes with a great view. Nice to get the bike out.

Not today but yesterday cleaned the shop up a bit and put the carbs and cables on. (Another issue with aftermarket throttle and the cable)
Bike wouldn't kick to life. Picked up a can of "ether" spray the 4 carbs and it fired up.... turned out it was a can of brake parts cleaner where I usually set the starting fluid. Going to put new gas in it today and try to figure out what's up. Only thing that's changed since this motor last ran is the coils.

It is a nice little ride and view. I feel very fortunate to have it so close. I should put a higher res photo up. In the distance is the Coors plant :D

Fresh gas and realized the throttle cable was holding the carbs open a little. Fired right up. Turn screws to 2 turns out.
Now for idle jets filters and a retune.

No clutch though. I know I'm getting enough pull at the cable so I'm unsure if the plates are just sticking or what.

Turned out the throttle cable has the carbs pulled too far open.  Adjusted too tight.

I like all the mods done here. Especially the exhaust header clamps.

Do they do the job? No leaks? Where did you source them?

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.
