Mano - bike looks good. Really needs a muffler for some back pressure.

know of any short slip ons or anything that would work well Stev-o?

Check out Cone engineerIng. They have one that is a direct fit to your headers. I have it on mine but paid like 30 more due to not knowing they are the manufacturers. If you can my posting on how it sounds you can get an idea.

Check out this thread. May give you an idea what your bike can sound like. Same one as yours

Ooh Stev-o, I bet your 550 sounds a lot like my 500 with that pipe.  Does it give it a little bit of a 80's superbike burble to it?  That's a clean lookin' machine man!

Rode the Hill Country twisties on the K4 836. 30 mph? HA!

Great road!

Down by the lake

Was a good ride except for the idiot who ran a stop sign and cut right in front of me. Luckily I saw him and the left lane was clear so I avoided disaster. Pissed me off!

Got her inspected, registered and plated  ;D

First (legal) on road excursion, in 24 years, tomorrow morning.

A lot of work to go, but she's legal, and ridable.

Yes, 550K w/F model header. I like the look of the Yoshi, just need to mod it slightly.

Lowered the front, now gotta get new rear lowering springs and cut down my kickstand.

Debating on bars. Then gotta get a small speedo, taillight set up, and signals. Wrap the pipes, and get different mufflers.

What did you do to lower the front mate, remove the front springs completely? That's not a good look.  ::)
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

To each his own. I like low, sleek bikes. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's "not a good look."

I come from the old Indian, BSA, Triumph, and old Harley (flatheads, and knucks) world so that's my style.

I removed the springs, took out a few coils and put them back in.

Once I lower the rear and clean up all the odds and ends that stick out on these bikes it will be a very smooth look.

How do you intend to "raise it up" to maintain suspension performance when you've cut the springs.? You are talking a relatively good handling bike and making it worse... Never understood that...

With the lil one sick and in the hospital I picked up the other kids from the in laws.  While they played in the yard i brought up my bench grinder to clean up some K1 lowers. Polished a set. Putting the other set that are polished on eBay. Tomorrow will install on the K1 if time permits. Some before and after pics of the sets

I have another set of springs and have access to a few others if need be. I don't really care about handling. I just like to cruise. Safely, of course.

Not TO my bike but ON my bike... something I've always wanted to do...
Riding through the park (because I didn't get to ride to work today) I got bored going so slow... and waving back to the half of the riders that "biker wave" to me. Pondered... that maybe it's a way for the weekend riders to say "riding is so fun I'm giddy. Aren't you too?" So the next cool wave to me... I threw up my arms waving excitedly like I was at a rock concert. :) I'm sure they weren't expecting that... Fun!

Haha, I'll have to try that.  My wife has some pink stuff I could wear too to really shock em 8)  I see some people who you can tell just ride to ride around where I live but most people get really hyper-masculine when they get on the road.
