From what I understand from this board the KO would include the 1969 & early 1970 production bikes with the 4 cable carbs, duckbill seat, recessed ignition switch, and some other familiar detail markings of those models. Some referred to the 1969 as the CB750 since it was the first year of production and the 1970 as the CB750KO as they were pretty much identical (not counting the sandcast case on some of the early 1969's only). I am not an expert on the subject and I am sure others here will chime in too.

Ha! No, I think it's late '69 build and mine is 12/69 so it's a good time capsule. Plus it's MOTIVATION and INSPIRATION  to keep me going on mine. It's gorgous! The one I'm doing was used, abused and the partially stripped so every day is a treasure hunt. I've had some good buys lately but it can get expensive. The next bike I do I'll wait patiently for one that's more whole like I see some of the K0's recently found. The K1's are a lot easier to do because you can buy tons of new stuff that's correct - if the budget allows.
Cheers,
Cliff.

I always look for the painted headlight bucket and brackets to let me know if it is an earlier model.

Well, this one was a gift but I had to bribe the owner's brother with $100 and go to Vancouver to get it so it was about $300 but not as nice as the $100  bike. This one had a bent frame, shot wiring and many wrong pieces although I was able to reface the gauges and use them on my K1 project. Sometimes the cheap ones are very expensive. ;D I've been collecting parts for a long time. If it looks anything like Mark's in the end I'll be very happy and shred every invoice for parts and work.
Cliff.

Yes, it's mine.  Wow, I'm flattered by all the interest.  I hope my sandcast turn out as good.
Thanks,
Mark
