My vehicular interests lie in Air-Cooled Porsches: 911s, 914s, but especially the old 356. These old bikes are dirt cheap in comparison in every respect (buying, maintaining, parts and restoration). I'm currently involved in the freshening-up/restoration of an old '62 356.
On the old 356, some VW parts were interchangeable. However, when shopping parts, a VW part that would work costs X and the identical part with "Porsche" on it costs three to five times as much.
I also am into photography with my old Nikon, building scale models of bikes and airplanes, and I'm also into guns, but that's a topic that's been beaten to death.
I'm also getting into SCUBA diving and will be doing that pretty heavy when I get back home.
