'78 750K & 550K front ends?

I need a new front end (forks, wheel) for my '78 750K.  A guy on craigslist is parting out a '78 550K.  Are the two front ends interchangeable?  The rim seems to share the same Honda part number, but I don't know about the forks and hubs.  Thanks!!

The forks should fit in the tree just fine, but the brake disks are different sizes.  You should be OK as long as you match disk to caliper.

I'll know for sure in a few weeks as I'm putting 750 forks, disk & caliper on my 550.  I'll be using the 550 wheel.

hey find out if that guy has some side covers i need a battery cover and i cant find one any where... thanks

I'm not sure, but I think the 550 fork is slightly shorter then the 750K's.
You should also consider that the 750 is heavier and needs stiffer springs than the 550.
