I agree with Scott, why'd you have to go and stir up possibilities with an old Honda Trail?!  I cracked up when I saw the black StingRay bars on there.  In a word, "sick!"  I'm off to scour craigslist.  My wife is gonna hate you! ;D

Why did you not go with the longer swing arm? It was looking sick. Now it only looks awesome.

Thanks for the comments! Its not my original idea, i just stole it from http://chalopy.blogspot.com/  ;D

The extended swingarm was a friends i borrowed, he has to finish it yet and i still might use it but I wanted to get it together and ride it asap (especially with gas at $4+/gallon).

just a quick pic. Got the rear struts made and installed along with the headlight bracket. I'm waiting for some parts and then have to sort out cables, tail light and seat and we should be close.

It's just a spray can job, if i used a nicer 2 stage clear it would be a lot better. I got the idea from another post on sohc4... http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=32291.msg333467#msg333467

Thought that it seemed to have a "glow" to it.  Without the automotive two-stage clear, watch that gasoline doesn't get on it.

If I may ask, what steering stem did you use with the new setup?  Bike is coming along beautifully!  Love the concept!

I cut the stem from the PW80 and original fork. With the help of a spacer we welded the OEM stem into the PW80 bottom triple tree clamp. Then cut down the original stem to fit without the goofy OEM handlebars.

It should be noted i cannot weld at all. Thankfully 2 guys in our "Scooter Gang" are professional welders. :D

Seriously, this is the scariest sh*t I've ever ridden... The combination of a 1/4 turn throttle mounted on 15" apes and the 125cc in a <100lb bike really wasn't the best decision in hindsight but goddamn is it sick  :D

I still need to wire up headlight and taillights, mount license plate, make a seat pad, connect front brake, stiffen up front suspension so the triple tree no longer hits the tire and sends me over the handlebars under heavy braking, finish my last will and testament, get more life insurance...

Scooter gang first ride this last labor day weekend. I can't believe we didn't get pulled over. We ended up sneaking onto the Labor Day parade route after they closed the roads and the streets were packed with people, and basically starting the parade.   8) One of the guys has a helmet cam we're going to use during the next ride so hopefully I'll be posting video next time.

That's pretty sweet. Guess I need to start checking dumpsters LOL. I'm thinking that would be interesting at Bike Week or Sturgis haha.

We're debating taking them to Tomahawk, WI for the annual Fall Ride/Colorama which is primarily Harley riding weekend warriors. My cb750 got a good reception last year but these might be a different story.
