Topic: cb400 "Half Sack"

Finally got my carb issues worked out and have been enjoying the past couple days on the 400 (1978 cb400tII).  I never imagined this thing would be so much fun to ride.  I was going to sell it to help fund my 750 build but I think I will just start a collection.

100% garage built, even the spray can paint.  Went through every inch on the bike and with the new gearing this thing rips pretty good.

I still have a few cosmetic things to work out, but I am stoked to be on the road.

Nice job man, I read your DTT thread a while back when I was deciding on my next project...a CM400 with a CB400 kick only motor.  I'm not sure how I'll be proceeding with it but I'm sure to have a question or two for you when that build starts sometime this year after my 750 is completed.  I'm calling mine the .99 Cent Special, since the kicker motor was a .99 cent ebay win...  I wonder if a CB's rear frame  section will bolt up in place of a CM's?

Thanks for the compliments.  Hell,  .99 cents for a motor you can't go wrong.  I know the I know the cb and cm400 twins are not supper popular bike to build but it is a kick in the pants to ride.

Yep, I  found a company that will put any auto manufacturers paint into  spray can for you.

Then I use Spraymax 2K clear coat.
