I new it was bad...
« on: March 07, 2010, 02:53:10 PM »
But not this bad...so the last few days I rebuilt the master cylinders and calipers on the K4, K1 and today the KO. The K1 & K4 were leaking a bit, but were not real dirty. Take a look at the pic of the piston on the KO. Man there was a lot crap in there. Cleaned and honed the cylinder and now I have some real brake there. Learned a lot too...  ;D If you click on the pic to enlarge it be ready to puke!!!

Nice Job............I've seen that a few times. Once I used a spoon to remove the jellied fluid. It was a wonder it still worked.  The inside of the lines probably look like my arteries!

The one on my K0 was even worse than that!  Same thing, surprising it worked at all.  Works much better now.

I had the same experience when I rebuilt my K8. I  flush the system every year but I guess it builds up over time.

I also flush the system every year. With the DOT 3 it is a good idea.
