Celebrated St. Patties Day with a ride, first since last November. St. Patrick's Day weather here is either cold and rainy or cold and snowy. Today was perfect, mid-sixties and a cloudless sky. Tomorrow is supposed to be even better.  ;) I won't get my hopes up too much though. Our average last day of measurable snowfall is April 22.  :-\

I rode the Nighthawk in to work this morning for the first time this year. Mid 40s here but tomorrow it's supposed to hit 60.

60-ish when I got home this afternoon, smelled gas fumes walking down the driveway...the 92 750 Nighthawk was complaining it hadn't been ridden yet.
Filled the battery and popped it in, A little blip of the starter to pull vacuum for the petcock and a few minutes sitting to let the float bowls fill. And Vroom, no resistance whatsoever to being started and all 4 firing.  I'm off!

It's nice here right now, too, but I know not to get too excited.  We'll get snow until the end of April or mid May.

We lost the last bit of snow over the weekend and it has been in the 40's and 50's and looks to stat that way.  The roads are just to full of sand, salt residue, and potholes so I will wait a few weeks yet and give the road crews time to get to work cleaning and patching.  This winter really tore up the roads here.  I am working on some long put off house projects like tiling, trim work, and floor refinishing so once that is done I can focus on the bike.

Ah, for the most part, this thread has all the sounds of the time that we've been waiting so IMPATIENTLY for! SPRING! As for registration (license and such), I've been putting that off til I could actually get the bikes out and Now I'll have to get after it cause I probably wouldn't be as lucky as duster and Alan were. I'd probably have gotten nailed! ::)

Seems like spring is early here in Vermont by a month this year.
6 miles from me there is no snow. Around my garage and in the woods I still have
over a foot of snow and ice on the roads in shaded areas.

Guess I'll wait a bit more before riding. :-\

It was 12 °C last friday moring. Took the 750 out to go to the office.
After about 2K, Big Rain. Result, first ride, soaking wet.
The guys at the office almost died from laughter when I showed up.

Bummer :(

70+ degrees in Philly area today. Went to Mother-in-law's garage to check out the 77 750F expecting to have to charge it or jump start it to get it going.

Turned the key just to see, lights came on. Nice surprise. Choked it, turned on the petcock and hit the starter. Turned over a bit and started.  Sweet.

Nice long ride. Doesn't get any better after a long, brutal winter.
