Somehow I see this guy being poor again

Just call it a premonition, I see this dude blowing all his money and being poor again in the near future.

I agree.  If I remeber the statistic correctly, better then 80 percent of the people who win big lottery jackpots end up worse off then they were before they won.  I don't give this guy more then 5 years before he's broke again (then again he may prove me wrong).

If he wants to keep that money, he better have a long talk with the man in the mirror about his habits.

After his dentist appointment, he should consider going to a trade school and get an education/apprenticeship in a career that makes a decent living.  Just in case....

Why would he even consider keeping his job?  I can understand if you do some kind of fulfilling work that you really enjoy, but the guy is a convenience store clerk, and he's only had the job for three weeks!

I'm sure there will be no shortage of people who "know about money" that will be trying to offer their services to this dude. ::)

Let us all dump on the guy whom won because it wasn't us.

I have  a Feeling I would come across sounding stupid also, but....I would not keep a minimum wage job. ;D

I'm not dumping on him because he won, I am just judging a book by it's cover.

Yes, dump I shall, I deserve that money more than he does.

I've managed to keep most of my teeth and not have any babies that I directly know of yet.  :)

I don't think I was dumping on him, just wondering why he would want to keep a cashier job he's had for three weeks.

Having said that, if for some reason I ever fall into $125 million, feel free to dump on me as much as you want.  I won't give a flying #$%* at that point! ;D  And I sure as hell wouldn't be keeping my job.  I'd have no shortage of productive (and non-productive ;)) things to do to keep myself busy.  For one thing, there's the personal antique and vintage motorcycle museum that I'd have to start sourcing and restoring bikes for. :)

Gordon,
you could buy/stock the museum with all these bikes and they would be
all tax deduction.  ;D

That dude is going to make someone very wealthy. I think I could do it right, I'd give it a shot. N.F.W. I'd be going to work there though, He isn't even smart enough to know the job of his life is about to begin. I managed 4.6 million of construction work but that would scare the beejesus out of me.

Here is the real problem. If you don't have good financial sense before you win, then you most likely will not gain it overnight.

So you expect some stranger to guide you through financial planning. And you end up losing it all because of the "experts" poor advice, or the actually steal millions from you before you realize it...

Moral of the story, teach yourself at lease the basics when it comes to money. And never use an investment broker or financial lawyer...
