Drag bars and modern master cylinder tight fit!!
« on: October 29, 2010, 06:16:55 PM »
I just installed drag bars on the cb750k with the cb900 master cylinder.  I then installed my brake line and I cannot get this setup to work.

I have the brake hose coming out of the master cylinder and pointing toward the back of the bike and then i makes a dramatic turn down to the junction 3 way.  When I turn the handle bars the brake hose makes contact with the tank.

How are other people running this setup?

Maybe a different brake line that has a curved fitting or use some risers for the bars.

Bar risers would likely help but I was trying to go stock.

The brake lines I have are from sling-shot and they are fantastic quality.

Just need a new grommet for the lower.

Hey just drill the stem nut and route the line down through the steering stem.

Does Z1 have a 90 degree bend that would go down?  Can you not route the hose forward instead?

I have mommas going forward and then under the tach.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I should have probably added one more word to that, lol.  Momma's bike.

iPhone 3G pic with garage door closed, so its a bit grainy.
