I thought it was time I put up a progress report, not a lot has been happening the past few months, work has been getting in the way, The old girl is starting to look like a bike again, it is well on its way to being reassembled. I still have a fair bit of polishing to do, the side covers, tank and the trim that goes in front of the rear light are all getting painted this week, fingers crossed, been waiting for months for my old man to get the time, I finished the rust and dent repairs on the tank today, my first go at lead wiping, didn't turn out too bad, did take a couple of goes (and an unhealthy quantity of lead ingested I'm sure too) to get it right though. I also wired up the new guages over the weekend, but they haven't been fitted as yet. Next on the list is to get the front brakes sorted out, my calipers are shot, I've tracked down a set off of a CX500 which bolt straight on, and look better than the stock ones too. I figure it is time to start pouring some money into the old girl and get it done, I am nearly 6 months overdue on the finish date I set myself when I started this project, my new plan is to have it on the road by my birthday which is in October, hopefully this time I can get it done in time.
