Sure is a bunch of diarrhea finger posts here. Holy sheet...
King just asks for some quick opinions on value and couple trolls come in and dump negative non-valve added crap.
Then King exits out with a gentlemen like thank you.
I don't think I would have been so nice.
Gee wiz, tough crowd.

Since when did you become a charity LLoyd,
More than 11000 posts ago, actually.   I guess you only see what appeals to you or supports your dim viewpoint.
But, when's the last time you had something positive to offer, mick?  I honestly can't remember.  Oh nevermind, it really doesn't matter to me anymore.
You know, it doesn't surprise me that you don't know the difference between charity and altruism.  They both must be quite foreign concepts for you.

and that can go both ways buddy.

Ah, you're being facetious.   There is no way I can be your "buddy".  Unless you mean that in a "your whipping boy" sort of way.

I'll give the rest of your posted rubbish all the consideration it is due.  ::)

This thread is getting hilarious ...

Mick
Well, it certainly took an inane and vile turn, no small thanks to you...

Go ahead mick, spew your bile, I'm done with you.  You're just one more person intent on undermining the good intent on this forum.

I'd rather talk with nice Australians and other reasonable, thinking people.

Can altruism exist in a capitalistic society?

Does a capitalistic society teach the avoidance of altruism?

If you don't know what altruism means, I can probably guess who your teachers were.  ;D
Devo referred to  "he's an altruistic pervert" in one of their songs. In honor of syntax I'd say "an individual with a perverted sense of altruism." Altruism, like religion, requires a believe in the supernatural. Personally I believe in both. It has nothing to do with the theme of this thread....I'm just saw the statement.

Hannibal, I respect your work and all, but have to disagree on the high end finds,,
Though there are more stories than  ACTUAL finds, they do in fact exist & happen.. just not that often..

I found a sandcast in not even a barn.. open ended Quonset , for 500 and it was a fairly early one and fairly complete..

I also found a 05 or 06 Indian frame/fork at a bicycle shop, and that is now a pretty complete looking bike..

Also managed to find 2 Ducati Mach 1's, one complete and one a rough start with proper frame(butchered) & cases..

Those are all 5 star bikes, found lots of other stuff and had a few get away...

 Happy hunting everyone...

You're right, I did go overboard. By trying to prove my point I wasn't fair. I took advantage of the gentle nature of this great forum. Won't happen again.

Since when did you become a charity LLoyd, and that can go both ways buddy. KKC took away the charity from at least one member that was going or interested in buying that bike at the price advertised. You see, if no one had butted in then the bike would have gone to a happy buyer and the seller would have been fine as well, now you have a member pissed off about loosing a potential sale, so we have a worse scenario because one of the parties isn't happy.....While trying to make himself sound important to the seller he misinformed them about the bike. He should have said,i'm sorry but i know nothing about the bike.....which obviously he didn't....

2 Friends of mine bought their music shop in the late 70's with the money they got from 2 Vincent Black shadows they were "Given" by an old lady.......Those bikes were worth a small fortune but the lady didn't want a cent for them...I suppose they are cheats as well..... ::)

This thread is getting hilarious ...

Mick

He didnt take it cause its a 500 and not a 550 like we thought it was. And his wife was there the whole time talking about how it was junk and that its not even running. The guy himself said that we should sell the parts that we would make more money off it.  He sounded important by telling me to sell on e-bay??? thats sound childish of you.  Ebay is full of guys that will want this bike and do something with it.  How is that sounding important?  He never told me the bike is worth a fortune. just gave me advice of where to sell it to people that would want it.  ::)

Since the owner is here, Whats been done to the bike performance wise? How long has it sat?
the bike was sent from italy during a military move. My husbands buddy met a girl in italy. married  her and came back to the states. This girls father would race the bike as a hobby over there. my husbands friend brought it back to the states and gave it to him. my husband drove it a few times then he was deployed to panama. its been in storage ever since. Its not running. Im sure it needs lots of work. Hes gonna have to file for a lost title.
