Hey TipperT, Gordon, I'm in McKinney too.  Just off of 380 and the 5, sure you know where.   I'm going to the motorcycle show with a friend late Sunday morning if you guys wanna meet up.

Would be nice, but I gotta work.  We'll definitely have to get a local sohc4-er ride together after the holidays, though.

I have too much to do around the house today.  It sounds kewl though. Sorry dood.

The ride sounds good when it warms up a tad.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Well finally got a bike last night. I left right after work last night with my fiance and headed to Austin!  I picked up a '77 CB550K.

Unfortunately, I have no way of uploading the pics on my work computer :( I will post them up tonight! I am super excited!

Could someone point me to the area where I can change my signature?  ???

I will definitely post up in the Project Area.  Eventually I would like to have more of a cafe style bike, but not too extreme. Should be fun!

I found it on Craigslist.

I believe the listing was actually for a "550F".  When I showed up in Austin it was actually a 550K.

I called him within 30 minutes of him posting the bike for sale!

The guy actually rode it from Ohio to here to visit his brother and sell the bike.

THanks guys!

I probably paid more than most on here, but all the electronics and lights work.  It needs a new speedo cable, tach cable, and low beam. Where would be a good place to purchase these?

I paid $1200.

It seems to run and drive fine! Unfortunately, I have never riden a perfect running 550 so I have nothing to compare it to.

You paid more than the folks up north, you did good being in Houston!  There is a vintage place in Houston that woulda wanted more than $1200 and not look near that clean.

Nice score!
Yeah, I talked with a guy about a CB he had on CL the other day.
He wanted retail and I was looking for wholesale.
He said he'd bought it and a couple more up north and trucked them down here to sell.
Spread the word, Hondas are hot in Texas now!

Hey there, I am from Massachusetts and just wanted to see what people from Texarkana talked about. I have been there a few times. Did the San Antonio river walk. My soul is still there.

I will probably keep it around. It was fairly easy to take on and off.  For now I like the clean look like Steve-O said!  :)

Texarkana is 450 miles from San Antonio.  I bet that was a long walk! ;) ;D
