Red rubbery stuff? Was the tank coated on the inside? Sounds like the coating flaked off and clogged up the works... If that's the case a new petcock won't help...  :o

Didn't see any tank coatings?? WTF?! That black "rubber" disc inside there seems more like hard plastic. I understand it's supposed to be soft like rubber to seal with/against the inside of the lever piece correctly! This petcock apparently has had the rivets removed and tapped for screws too. Theofam is headed to the Springs to take G for a spin. He's going to stop by a Denver salvage yard to see what he can find. He may be transporting G back to Terry then we can meet up down the road. I'll have a bike to ride but it may not be a SOHC4. It'll work!

Jerry,  I'm in possession of GeeZee, and I'm safely back in Denver.  Check out the riders log for my entry w/ photos.  If anyone in Denver wants to ride around tomorrow, let me know.  My daughter is out of school, so she and I will be buzzing around getting photos before I hand GeeZee back over to Terry.

Hopefully, one of the two rubber petcock gaskets hiding behind your vase will cure the drooling issue.

Very good. Thanks. my daughter found the treasure trove. I'll see if one works on Saturday afternoon. Hondaman has said he may be able to get that seal from the Honda shop. I didn't see a separate part number. I'm afraid to ask the young parts guys here without a part number! If anyone can get that part number for me I can call both our Honda shops before I get home.

Thanks Hondaman!! I'm thinking TheOFam needs to bring Godzilla by anyway so the masses can get acquainted with the famous Hondaman  ;)

Terry aka CB650, I'll let you know as soon as I try it. TheOFam should be contacting you soon about GZ.

Definitely!  I know everyone's schedules are busy, so let's plan out a ways in order to get it on our calendars.  The 404 Bar on Broadway in Denver hosts a get together on the first Thursday of every month.  What if we shoot for August 4th at the 404?  Nice, summer evening of riding and getting to know one another?

Or, maybe we can pick a date that works earlier in the summer and start up our own get together?

I've been trying to get over to the 404 for First Thursday the last few months. I'd like to see more hondas so let's get over there guys! Atleast then we can set up a ride in person over a beer.

Nice write up Theofam. Wish I could have been a part of it.

Great stuff TheOFam! And now you know the story, the Hondaman that is ;). Good to SEE everyone else too. Glad you guys were able to carry Big G. Too bad I've had to work a few days. What the hell, it's too cold anyway  ;)

I have just now booked a room at the Annie Oakley Motel in Oakley, KS for Sunday night. I'm thinking about a 5:00pm arrival time tomorrow afternoon. Haven't done anything for Topeka yet. I need to get in touch with Richard at M/C.

Still planning on US24. Meeting up would work for me. I have your number now. We'll be in Oakley Sun night then hit the road Mon AM and take US24. Please let us know when you find out more about the motel. Address and rates would be great. I'll need a room but not sure about the KS guys. I don't want to go too expensive, more like cheap since I'm doing quite a few nights out. Don R and brother will be staying Mon and Tue nights in Sedalia.

I'm not planning on going through Limon. I'll take CO94 instead and intersect with US40 southeast of Limon and northwest of Kit Carson. I have a room booked with 2 double beds. Paid for already so that's not an issue. Terry had mentioned about Lynn going too but I haven't heard anything more on that. He may be coming through the Springs and bring his other tank to fit this 650. If so I'm not sure how he'd fit a passenger too. Come on along. I'm not sure how far Terry is riding past Oakley. I know one other guy is headed in from KC that will stay over in Oakley but there's a couple other guys that may stayt a little east instead.
