Holy hell Jerry! Went from snow to 100°F and back to freezing cold again! I guess we can't expect 2000 miles of perfect weather, can we? (Though I got in 1036 miles of almost-perfect weather :D)

And I thought the worst of it was behind you. ;)

It is NOW!!  ;D Too bad you weren't along, I had to talk to my fool self the whole damn way back  ;) Kept telling myself I'm fukn cold and might die but I was too close to home after such epic riding to stop. I need to check on the ignition switch. Don't let me forget.

Pin,

That 100 degree #$%* only lasts so long  ;)  I really needed to pee tonight but I still can't find it  ;D

Scottly,

Thanks for all the help and good wishes. I pulled it all off with only a scraped up elbow. Story to come in my write up.

Holy cow Jerry, I got the luck you didn't. We went further south, slipped under and then followed the front. The worst I got was wet truck spray and sunburn! The 94 road in Mo was awesome. A flatlander like me doesn't get to ride something like the Godzilla spine very often!

Pin,

We damn-neared needed to carry this thing around with us!

It was a really nice trip, though, which started out like this for me at 6:30am:

But looked like this most of the time:

Though we did stop in Cawker City to take a look at this:

Which included the world's largest ball of twine:

We finally got to Topeka and ate here:

And then the next day met up with Don R at Motorcycle Classics magazine HQ in the previous post!!

I'd like to take this opportunity after thawing out to thank all those involved in Team Central Rockies. Whether you rode or not it was an astounding success by all. Thanks for being a part of it. I look forward to seeing each and everyone up on 2 wheels for next year! Hell, I may even have my bike done too by then  ;D A special thanks goes from me to CB650 / Terry for loaning me a great CB650 to ride for over 2,000 miles! Wow, you are tha man!

Jerry - photos above are unreal!

I'd suggest changing  the schedule for CO next year, June weather would be much more enjoyable for riding.

Jerry - photos above cannot be seen.

I'd suggest changing  the schedule for CO next year, June weather would be much more enjoyable for riding.

Thanks for the heads up on the pix. I did some Photobucket rearranging.

Next year could well be different. The main thing has been to see how the flow goes at/to the end. Don't want them having bad late weather in the Cascade mountain range either. We may well be able to condense considering the first 2 regions had approx 1 full month. The way the weather has been here so far this spring (snowing yesterday coming through Castle Rock) has been more of a fluke than the norm I think. Keeping fingers crossed is required  ;)

That's a good question to figure out. Guess we can look out for rides to and from. Paul did pretty good #$%* and didn't hump me  ;D  :D let's just move it when we have the opportunity. I'm supposed to get pictures of the 750 thats south of here. It's supposed to be a really nice 74 with a lot of spare stuff and may need to move on that. I have a neighbor that works in denver but I think he's south. That could work out for a ride at least to/from his work. Doubt he'd go beyond.

Irregardless I need to adjust the chain and go over it then give it a good cleaning. I added 1/4 quart oil maybe in Great Bend. I haven't seen any smoke or noticed any leaks?? You see any smoke from behind? Anything you want me to specifically do?

Heck of a ride Jerry! I've ridden cold, but never cold and wet with rain/sleet/hail and icy roads. I am humbled. I can imagine the bystanders expressions as you walked in to the diner for coffee. I don't think Godzilla himself could have surprised (scared) them any more than you likely did...

Jealous on a level you can't even imagine! WOW I wish I'd gone! But now school is over and I've been laid off so I have no excuse to not get my bike done. I WILL be there next year.
