Tapered roller bearings

I have a 74' 550 Four and wanted to know if anyone has converted the steering head ball bearings to roller bearings. If so, could ya shed some light on the subject?  Thanks...

Just did this last night to my '74 550.  It's still fresh in my mind, so shoot me a PM if you have a question.  That long, long thread referenced above was pretty helpful for me.
