Could this rider still be alive?
« on: June 25, 2011, 03:28:26 AM »
Come take a ride through Russia's rush hour with one of the bravest/craziest riders I have ever seen, you keep waiting for some car driver to open their door on him or collect a mirror.
Not sure what he is riding but the way he has trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground I'm guessing maybe a Honda CBR1000RR?

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

If that guy is still alive I would be very suprised, at the start of the film it says it is an R1, I am not sure but it seems being a d!@#head is a prerequisite to owning an R1.

That is the craziest public riding I've ever seen.  How many cars do you think he swiped in those seven minutes?!

What surprised me was the rush hour traffic. That amount of traffic wouldn't qualify as Saturday morning traffic in cities I've been to. Is there still a shortage of cars in Russia?

Traffic there is terrible, but that sure is one crazy riding SOB!!!!! If you ride like that long enough sooner or later you will pay the price for it.

That guy was emulating the feats of the late, great, "Ghost Rider". I say "late" because rumor has it that he died a couple of years ago, and either that's correct, or he's in jail, (or perhaps hospital) because I haven't seen any of his famous (infamous?) youtube videos for awhile, like the one where he rode 43 miles in 15 minutes at speeds up to 170 MPH, in city traffic.

Here in my home state "lane splitting" is legal, but dangerous. I witnessed the aftermath of a lane splitting attempt gone wrong when a car "merged" into a lane-splitting Harley rider on my way to work one morning on Melbourne's infamous "Ring Road". The Harley rider had only zoomed past me a few minutes before the traffic completely stopped, and as traffic crawled past, I saw another motorist putting a blanket over his dead body.

I do lane split myself when in heavy traffic, but I do it very slowly, and keep an eye out for merging cars. I don't think my youtube vid would be very interesting.......... Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I will say he has skill, but riding like that anywhere other than a race track or controlled for filming (hollywood/stuntman) is just plain stupid. He'll be a grease stain soon, if not already.

You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy.

You've got to watch your back in the SSDB, this is where the clever guys get bored with bike talk and make poo jokes.
I like my women a little big. Natural. Now, they shave this and wax that. It's not right. I love natural women. Big women. This trend in women has to go. Bulomia, anorexia. That's just wrong.
