"Hi Terry"

Ha ha, for a moment I thought that this was in reply to my Suzi Quatro comment in the "Marcia Marcia Marcia" thread, well done Joe! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

normally I would agree...but, don't those tires actually belong on that bike?

I personally love the vintage firestones. I agree with you though Dimitri that people have just put them on everything lately. If your bike is not built for speed, performance or to corner then these tires fit you bike but when people slap them on cafe bikes just because they are good looking tires it does make me a little crazy. I am building a "brat" style bike. Its small and under powered, not a performance bike. It will have firestones. But people have started moving away from the fire stones and the new cool thing is a knobby dualsport tire. I also think it is a great looking tire but on the right bike. They dont belong on cafe racers or any other bike that will never go off road.

I will post up a picture of my bike with firestones for you to flame. It is an abomination at the moment.

you think its from that scrambler in "The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo" or was it occuring before then?  Styles are always interesting in what sets them off.

That's a damn fine looking bike, sans the tires. Gulf livery makes EVERYTHING look better.

Here is my current abomination. It started life as a SL175. It sports a 4.00x18 rear and a 3.50x18 front. I love the big fat chunky tires like that bmw has so i decided to build a bike that I think would look good with them.

FFJ, I think that 175 looks the biz. It is one of those bikes that when you see it...you want to take out for a whip. How the heck do you have the time for so many bikes?

Dear God,

Please smite/electrocute/burn or otherwise destroy this abomination that is before my eyes.  May its creator contract leprosy and never again be able to use his hands to build such blasphemous machinations.

Ah, those who are blind to art will never see the beauty in a GSXR with apes and fishtail pipes................

I've been waiting for a new trend to overtake the (now as boring as bat#$%*) Cafe racer/Bobber/Brat Style crap bikes that everyone and their dogs are riding, and come up with something original, and it looks like someone has finally arrived with a solution.

Thank God that there are still some individuals left in the US.  :o  ;D
