Motorcycle clubs?

Does anyone belong to an international club? Do they let Hondas into clubs like the "59"?

As long as you get to keep the pelt, that's a pretty good deal! :)

Have you looked into the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club?  I don't really know anything about it, and I'm not a member of any true MC, but if that's your thing I'm sure it would be a decent place to start.

MC's are more for 1%'ers. Prolly not a good idea to have MC on your jacket if you run across one of them. I have noticed owners forums to refer to the site address on their patches instead of using the term MC. Helps them eliminate the chance of any problems.

That was a bit off topic. ;)
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Clubs, schmubs.

1% in theory, 100% conformity in practice.  If you like coordinating patches, outfits and other such crafts, MC's are where its at.

Are you referring to the feature on Butch Walker and the Venice MC he is in? I saw that and thought, "What the #$%* are those guys thinking - flying colors while riding non-American bikes in California?" That's a good way to get a hammer to your skull if you strayed into the wrong territory.

In fact this is an International Club.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

Most of the 1%ers know who their rival clubs are.  As long as you don't go rolling into a bar that is also a clubhouse for them, you will be fine.  They tend to know who the small clubs are as well, just to avoid any confusion.

The 59 club and Ton up clubs are all over the place.  You might find a charter near you.  They do, in fact, let Honda riders join.

When I saw this topic I couldb't help but think of the old Saturday Night Live bit from around 79 or 80 where Gilda Radner was in drag as a hispanic punk dating Lorraine Neumann. She was greased up and wearing a leather jacket and every time someone would say the word "gang" she would say, it's not a gang, it's a club.

Ya know, it was just a curious question brought on by the Cafe Racer tv series, but it sounds like if I put a 59 on a bike I am either in danger of getting knifed, or in danger of being a wannabe biker or something. Am I wrong?

the 59 club is little more than a t-shirt company these days and it was started by a clergyman who was also a motorcyclist...he saw an opportunity to improve the opportunity's and outlook of a group of British youth's...now if ya wanna go putting three patches on the back of your jacket, one with the club name, one with the emblem, and one with your home town, you are likely to get mixed up in some dirty business...
If it works good, it looks good...

Damn! We are a funny group, non?

I joined VJMC once,
almost,
 ok
well I went to a meeting and
THOUGHT of joining.

Then, my Canadian Doraphobia kicked in,
when I saw other members wearing those things that give me that phobia and
well, I remembered those baby seals ,
tears welling up in my eyes
and
just couldn't do it.  :'(

peace,
michel
