Does OCC still exist? I had a feeling they'd gone broke? It's a shame really, I really liked watching them fabbing up stuff, I'd kill for some of their shop equipment! Cheers, Terry. ;D

i just got back from bunnings, did i miss anything?

Don't those folks at Bunnings think you look a bit suspicious Dave, walking around their store in a big coat on a warm Queensland day? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Ha ha, there's a new "Big Box" Hardware store chain opening here in Melbourne Dave called "Masters", a partnership between Woolworths and Lowes. (Seppo Harware Chain) One new store opened yesterday in Braybrook, I might have to check it out while the weather's still cool enough to wear my special "Harware Racer" coat.............. ;D

Well, it tastes (marginally) better than petrol, or cats piss (don't ask.....) but it's not great Mick, and after a bad night at the North Kirra surf life saving clubs boozer, I can't even look at it without dry-retching............  :o

Hahahaha! ok, I had to look this up this "Bundy".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundaberg_Rum

"Associations with aggressive drinkers
Bundaberg Rum has been labeled the drink for yobbos, after some bars reported that "Bundy drinkers are a lot louder, and more disruptive than other patrons." In 2005, four bars in Brisbane banned the rum products, claiming it makes drinkers aggressive and attracts the wrong crowd. "They will abuse bar staff, half a dozen a night, normally gangs of blokes, the marketing is directed at yobbos," one bar owner told The Age newspaper. The Bundaberg Rum Distillery admitted it was aware its brand had a reputation of being associated with aggression, and said it may change its advertising to dispel its "yobbo" image."

Which in turn led me to have to reference this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yobbo

"Australia
The term is also prevalent in Australian English, however the meaning is subtly different. Whereas the British version of a yobbo is thuggish working class person, the Australian definition refers more to a lower class person who wears attire such as flannelette shirts and thongs, and is usually unemployed and living off welfare benefits. "Yobbos" in the Australian sense of the word also usually use a lot of common Australian slang terms in their vocabulary. Just as yobbo in the UK has been increasingly replaced with the term Chav, in Australia the term has been increasingly replaced by the term bogan."

And then to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogan and this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav

And so on, I am now up on my Australian lower-working class pejoratives! :D

Just what the world needs: Drunk aggressive unemployed thugs in flannelette shirts and butt-floss.

Ha ha, I just got a disturbing mental picture of Dave wearing his flannelette shirt with his undies pulled up his butt, but to help you with your "Ozification" mate, over here "Thongs" are sandals, I think you guys call them "flip flops"?

Flannelette shirts and thongs are the winter state uniform of Queensland, and singlets and thongs are their summer uniform. "Stubbies" (an Aussie brand of short pants) are worn all year around. Dave also wears a special coat for when he goes to Bunnings, which apparently is loose enough to disguise the outline of a drop saw and a drill press. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was thinking about "going cafe" with my F1.  The more I thought about it, I realized:  clip-ons, Tarozzi's, undertail exhaust, cbr suspension, all the horsepower I can squeeze out of it..... that's more like "superbiking" it.  Am I wrong?  Just askin'.
