Let's see some before and after photos of everyone's pride 'n' joy
« on: September 13, 2011, 02:08:37 PM »
I am not sure if this has been done before but here goes.  I was thinking it would be cool to see some before and after photos of everyone ride(s).

I'll start ...

Here's the day I first layed eyes on her ...  it was love at first sight...

And like any fine diamond in the rough .. she caused me pain, money, and lots and lots of time.  I consider her a constant work in progress...

but as she sits today she looks like this.

I can't wait to see the before/after photos of all the fine machines here.  Cheers to everyone with bloody knuckles and empty wallets.

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.

What bothers them is they sat up late at night, their breast full of wonder and estrogen, unable to sleep, dreaming about their lovely darling and all her glory... and next thing you know someone else doesn't share their emotional deluge and their reaction is they must spread their mind museum as far as they possibly can, taking over as much of the real world as possible.

Dave, you need to post some pictures.... I'm pretty sure you have some great stuff hiding up your sleeve.  or under the bed.  or in the back yard.  somewhere, lets see it.

this is my keeper when i got it home, all there just a basket case,i already had a rebuilt 500 to use so i gained a spare, the tank was still nearly full from 91,this is about five years ago.

same day having a fiddle and semi mock up.

here it is in its first guise, running and registered but not painted,i rode it like this for a couple of years, street cred.

here it is now,550 engine, the rebuilt 500 went into another build i sold, its been painted for a couple of years now.

If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Started with a bare frame given to me by a friend, no papers of course. Another friend told me about an engine under a workbench for 30+ years, got it for $100. Bought a fellow's "junk" for $200, bought more stuff from here and Honda, lots of hours and here it is. Cliff.

Well...Here is a link to a video that shows my 1977 CB750 F2 restoration that I believe was freeze dried and staked to the desert floor to die. A worse condition motorcycle that was not in a wreck, I believe would be hard to find. She is now a beauty IMHO and loves to run hard and fast. She is now my +1 bike.

A little background it's a 1975 CB750 K5 The day I brought it home

I had it on the road for about 2 months before I was hit by a Lexus

Just order a new harness for a 1976 model. does not matter what yours is. All those plastic connectors are not that way from battery acid. They are that way from old age and sunlight. Like I said just get a brand new harness.

Illrational, the rearsets are items I picked up from ebay UK, I can send you a link to the seller if you want me to (pm me).  The pipes are a custom set I made up myself, 2 of the down pipes are standard CB550K and two are from a CB650, the collector is from a CB650 and the silencers are universal tulip silencers.  I wanted the balanced look of a twin 2 into 1 system instead of a 4 into 1.

do you have to drop a pipe or both to remove the oil filter?
