Wanted to drop by and dust off this thread to give a small status. This iggy project has been on ice since July when I picked up a new job (new start up) and has literally taken up 10-16 hour (averaging about 12) a day since. My free time has been nill and with that the iggy has be put on ice since. As noted the hole in my motor didn't help either (see pics below). I would like to think I will go down the path of putting together a built motor sometime this spring, we shall see if I have time to see that happen (am looking forward to doing so).
The iggy is functional and working quite well. I know there is a few improvements/features that is yet to be added to the firmware and one more PCB spin to accommodate some improvements with it as well. My friend who wrote the firmware has been on me as of late to dust off this project again and if free time improves, but he knows where my time has been as he too is consulting for my company (writing firmware).
I've gotten a handful of black anodized rotors back in July and they look really nice (see below). The intention will be to get the iggy into a few hands to get some feedback. As soon as I can support that effort (time wise) it will happen.
Another block for getting the CB back up and running is the acquisition of a 2007 Yamaha FZ1 in August.. That naked liter bike fun as done a good job at keeping a smile on my face for the remainder of the riding season, haha (just put away Thursday).
Will update when there is more.
Pic of Rotors (no magnets installed)
Pic of carnage to the motor from the broken chain... won't buff out, haha
