tunes that get stuck in your head
« on: October 20, 2011, 09:13:55 PM »
I've had a tune stuck in my head, that I heard on the radio a week or two ago. A short search for the lyrics turned it up: "If I die young", by The Band Perry. The lilting melody and cryptic lyrics caught my ear...

Unfortunately most songs that get stuck in my head are crap.... There's something about crappy songs, they have a way of getting hold of your subconscience  and hanging around for a while.... :o

Dave, a local radio station pulled a stunt a few years ago; they said that since a competing station had more ads, and got better ratings, listeners must like ads. They switched to an all ad-jingle format! :o :o :o The Oscar Meyer wiener song was the worst!!!

I don't know that one but, 7 years? I don't want to hear it. WoW.

Right now it's. time is tight, Booker T and the MG's. Makes me want to go find a Hammond B3 organ with a leslie speaker. Then learn to play it.

I have used the Bonanza theme to clear another song out. Also the Andy Griffith theme.

I had forgot about that since summer. The video is good. Easy to look at! That song was also stuck in my head for a month.

Agreed.  For me it's the title songs of the shows my kids watch.  I'll find myself randomly whistling them as I go about my day. >:( >:(
