To be honest I don't think they even used those on the 1971 750 K1. I have several, two of the brown with original paint and a gold one and don't remember seeing them. Another thing to check down at the shop  :D

I'm with you ekpent, I think the nature sticker came a little later later, maybe with the clutch safety switch. I dont recall that mine had one of those when I got it ...in 1971, but it could just be defective memory on my part. s/n 1067xxx

I saw this nice one for sale last year, $11500:
Sorry, no tank top pic on this one.

You may not even need the decal if you’re doing a showroom correct restoration.

The Preserve Nature decals were not used on the CB750 K1 until the start of frame number: CB750-1103001.

Thanks for the very helpful responses and for the Candy Garnet Brown photos.  It seems that color is becoming harder to find.  My frame # is CB750-1064xxx so I think it never had one.  I'll leave it off to be "correct" but I do find the decal to be whimsical and good conversation!  I've always wondered who came up with the "preserve nature" idea.

The funny and hard thing about finding a nice Candy Brown 71 is the fact that they faded out really bad.It looks like they used some type of a green shaded base under the Candy Brown. One I already pictured had been well stored inside with a little over 10,000 miles and held up well with a good rich color. Here is another one in the stash that has started to go green. Not the best pic, could get better but the top of the tank is showing it and the headlight bucket has really turned.Kinda like how the Flake Orange likes to go silver.

PS-HOLY CRAP-Looking through some old pics and noticed my gold K1 has a black one. Will def check out my 2 other brown ones for you next trip at the shop.

Thanks.  Yeah, mine turned "green" too.  I can't wait to get the new painted parts back.  I feel like a kid on Christmas eve.

Is that a newer tach mounted on your bike. The red area is still very crisp and bright, usually a sign they have been kept out of the elements. How many miles on it and since we are all picture whores around here how about a nice wide angle of the old girl  :)

The gauges were recently rebuilt.  I'll be happy to post some photos of her when the freshly painted parts are done in a few weeks.  She won't let me photograph her naked.

Hinomaru - thanks for the info on the Preserve Nature tank decal!  I'm leaving it off.

My 750k1, serial number CB750-1079xxx with a build date of 2/71, was originally candy garnet brown in colour and did not have the sticker.

You’re welcome. ;)

I find it interesting that the CB750 used the Preserve Nature tank decal in other markets besides the USA. The part numbers for the decal vary with the language and can be seen on England, France, Netherlands, Japan, Australia, European Direct and General Export market bikes.  Why Honda decided to implement this decal is a bit of a mystery, it could be that the Japanese definition and/or translation of the word ‘nature’ has a different meaning in Japan.

I almost forgot ... Welcome to the SOHC/4 forums!

Does anyone know if the reserve nature decal appeared in the fuel lid of the '77 750? I looking at the photo in an earlier post above showing a '78 550 one would think it would have one.

Not that I've seen, my 77k model doesn't and the nos black k tank I was looking at awhile back didn't either if I recall correctly.
