I'm good for a C note, tell me how and where?

Also, I figure it buys me a pass to relate my RC Sr. stories/encounters?

20 19 needed now. Slow down guys  :) I'm in. Just hoping I don't have to give more $$$ to attorneys  ;)

If $100 is the threshhold for t-shirts perhaps people can still contribute less/whatever they can afford and skip the freebies?? No fair to exclude willing donors  ;D

This is  very cool...I was going to have to make decision on pistons vs front end. From what I see here I'm committing to both that way both bikes can get underway within a few weeks. I have access to a great artist to do the shirts up first class. I'm thinking dead on copy of the official team shirt with some graphics of both bikes...I'll submit prototypes here.

Meeting in 20 minutes...I'll be passing along the good news.

I am the bidder on the front end, although reserve not met....what the heck are these worth?

Sorry, but all I can contribute right now is info on the rear wheel; it was most likely an Ansen, or a copy of one, as many wheel makers copied the sprint. Here is an ad from a 7-69 magazine:

Scott, check out post 243, you are correct on the wheel and a backer for the wheel has been found, can't tell you who it is as it's a secret.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just spent two hours "on set" getting interviewed by a professional film maker with my chassis sponsor which I will now divulge:

Randy Nelson of Motorcycle Dynamics in Escondido, Ca will be building the chassis and we are completely covered on this. I showed him the front end we are buying and he is very inspired by all of the camaraderie this has generated.

He will have many hundreds of hours in this rebuild and is doing this purely for the love of it's historical significance. The chassis will be first class, chrome molly as was the original. Randy holds a number of land speed records with his partner Kent Riches of Airtech. The two set the record for fastest electric bike a number of times now and he also rebuilt one of Vesco's streamliners for the museum.

He is one of us..in fact at 55+ yrs almost always a Honda guy and drag raced as a sportsman during my Dad's (RC Eng) reign of terror in TG and TF throughout the70's and early 80's.

He has sponsored a couple of my Dbike chassis over the years and they all went straight as an arrow.

There is no way I could get both these bikes running without help and life is short...it would be nice to see my Dad at the track when these come to life.

Thanks,
RCjr.

So now..I suppose I need to find out what hub was used to mount what look to be 11.5" approx. disks. It appears to be a 40 spoke and the Borrani rim is still available new....just need to anodize it.

My chassis sponsor still laces wheels..a lost art in some parts. Thinking Buchanan polished stainless and he will lace it.

Does anyone recognize those rotors or hub? I was thinking stock Honda. And what do we want for rim width?
