Looks great.  Like the scheme.  Maybe just a complementary pin striping on the side covers to dress them up a tad?  Looks a little plain compared to the tank/seat.

Wow! I love it look great nice lines.  Not sure about the side cover you may want to try the pin striping as lone*X suggest, or if it were me I might be inclined to find a second set of side covers and paint them gloss black to match the airbox and the bottom half of the bike.  Great job.  When can I send you a tank to get painted?

Stunning! I think you should leave the side covers the way they are, painted Orange BUT add some of the fancy Carpy 750 decals. Just my opinion! Really nice machine bro!

Thanks, I have been trying to decide on what to do with the side covers. I am a graphic artist and work at a sign shop so I do all my own vinyl . Just cant make up my mind on what to do with them . Wanted to stay away from spades and checker though as it's just been done to death IMHO-  appreciate the input though fellas , sometimes you need another set of eyes or a step back for a while to be able to see things .

I like the color  ;)

The side covers need a little something, maybe add a continuation of the stripes/logo?

Looks great! Side covers break it up , too much  action on the covers would take the attention away  from the rest. +1 on continuing the design with maybe the 750 four in the emblem painted body color?

It looks nice and has a clean visual line to it, came out very nice 78whiteorbs

I like the pin stripes, very custom. Seems that everyone is stuck on the side covers being plain, I think they are just fine like they are. As for the front fender, it's too stock, compared to how slick the rest of the bike is. I like the front fenders on the other two bikes pictured in this thread. One of those fenders in orange like the rest of the bike would take it over the top! My .02 worth

I think it looks really classy the way it is. At the most I would add a badge of some sort to the side covers but it really doesn't need them to look correct.  One thing that I really like about the bike is that it has a factory look to it. I think that the use of the stock fender helps create the illusion that this bike was a Honda factory design. It will also be really nice for riding on rainy days.

It looks to me like you are building this bike with the intention of riding it. Just out of curiosity, how does it ride?  Are you happy with the ergonomics?

Thanks for all the positive response and input fellas- it is very useful to get the feedback.

@Hinomaru- that was kinda close to my original mock up'ed design .

@FuZZie "yea I agree needs to  keep it from becoming to busy looking  but still needs a bit on the covers to id the bike. "  my thoughts exactly

@Bjatwood  I was contemplating paint matching the fender but kinda decided against it as I like to have a balance of a little chrome highlights , black and then the orange. It was very temping not to get happy with the paint . I actually think I might black out the rims and spokes , been thinking hard on this one but I think it'll tie in well.

@Goofaroo- thanks! I was going for what you described so that tells me I hit my mark. Classy but not to overdone so that it retained some vintage appeal. The Front fender adds a touch of vintage class I think,I love fenderstays on any classic bike because its something they just dont do anymore even on the vintage clone throwback bikes. Without it,it  looks much more agressive and that's cool but not what I was going for with the aesthetics.

I am pleased with the ergonomics . It's not bothersome at all and it handles extremely well which surprised me quite a bit .The seat is actually way more comfy than you might think. I used a product called MiniCel which is used for making kayak and canoe seats, it is easily shaped and has a velvety finish to it . I also have a small piece for the back stop that isnt pictured that makes the whole pan  look alot more "finished" and seamless. Excellent stuff and cheap!

I will post some ride videos later after I install my led tail light and find a stunt car to capture the action.

As an artist with training I can tell you why it works.

The striping (horizontal) makes the bike and tank etc,., not look so tall because it breaks up that large surface of the side view of the gas tank.

The stripe continues on the seat so your eye just jumps from the tank to the seat and continues the horizontal line. It's putting an emphasis on the horizontal and it ties the seat and tank together as a visual unit.

The black color also works because it does not get too much attention like white would get on that medium color background of the tank and seat.

I agree. Some type of emblem in black on the side covers.

I agree with getting some color on the fender, but I would also suggest to black the gas cap. A blacked cap would go well with the line, as is the cap looks a little weird to me (first thing I noticed was the cap needing blacking). And I would also agree that the side cover needs something. Maybe a small "750" or "SOHC4.net"? (lol)

My best suggestion: get a 550, get rid of the side covers, and bam.. awesome! Otherwise, that pinstripe with the honda emblem is quite awesome.

Thanks Lucky-

Actually was gonna get another chrome tank cap- It is pretty mismatched with the oil dipstick cap as is.
Just got carried away with paint there :)

I am sure its quite blasphemy to mention giving up in favor of a 550 :)
