Geez you must have gotten a fright Scott, that's a fairly large bulge in the back of your pants mate! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

OUCH, hard landing eh... ;D ;D
My buddy that was driving the towing pick-up said I bounced about a foot off the dry lake-bed. The image still haunts him; he thought I was dead at the time. I didn't budge while he was running back to me; I was taking a careful inventory. Wiggle fingers:check. Wiggle toes:check....
By the way, the second pic was taken a few weeks after the crash landing: I was raised to get back on the horse that threw me. No wonder I hate horses! ;)

That's great news about Brian - thanks for keeping us posted Terry.
I have told so many people about Brian's plight, and I get quite goosebumply when I tell them what happened and that he is improving, and now to the point of standing and doing things for himself, wow, what an inspiration. Really glad I have met him.
Good on ya Brian - so happy for you mate. 8) 8)

G'Day Guys, no, I haven't been over to see Brian yet this week, I'll try to get over tomorrow or Sunday. He is looking pretty good though, and the nurses seem to fuss over him a bit, so I think that his charm makes up for a lot, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D

G'Day Sammy, nope, sorry mate, I haven't had a chance to get over and see him yet, I've been working away from home for the last few days, but I definitely will in the next couple of days. Cheers, Terry. ;D

No worries Cliff, I'll have to pick you up in my little green car though, the Triumph is still in the shop and my K1's off the road until I fix the head gasket. (well, until I build a new engine, actually, so my Suzy GS1000 will be on the road first) How about after you close your shop today? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Ha ha, bloody American time on this forum makes it confusing, no I meant today after you close your shop, sometime after 5 pm? I'm only sitting here fuming because I'd almost finished another oil cooler adapter and I buggered it up after 4 hours of solid work, and I don't want to go out and look at it. Oh well, there's always tomorrow..........  :o

Okey Dokey, I've had some internet issues in the last 24 hours, but it's all fixed now. (fingers crossed) I visited Brian at the Royal Talbot yesterday, and I'm happy to report that he's looking better everytime I see him.

I arrived just as he was starting his Physiotherapy session, and his Physiotherapist was nice enough to let me stay and watch Brian going thru his paces. As he's been laid up for the last 4 months his muscles have wasted away, and of course there was a lot of nerve damage, so Brian has got a lot of work ahead of him to rebuild all those muscles again.

He remarked that he doesn't remember learning to walk being that difficult as a baby, but I reminded him that was 52 years ago, and his body was in a slightly better condition back then........... Anyway, the good news is that he can stand up, and he had his first hydrotherapy session last week, and actually was able to take a couple of steps!

Brian has now sold his pub in Yanco, (which is a good thing as it's underwater at the moment) and things are looking up. He asked me to thank everyone again for their generous donations, he said it really helped him and Ev over a very difficult period, and he will never forget the way you all went "above and beyond" to help a guy on the other side of the world.

He also asked me to apologise for him not replying here lately, he's somehow lost his wireless internet access, but he said he'll be back on net soon, and he's looking forward to yacking with you all again shortly. Well done guys, I'll post more pics after my next visit. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thanks for the update mate.

Gee, Brian's starting to look dangerous again and that's a good thing.
Good to hear that things are on the up after the rough trot that he and the family have been through.

Looking forward to having our mate back here on the board.  8)
