The wheels.
Need to snap a pic of the seat soon.
Now that the addition is mostly done i need to go over to me soon to be ex wifes and get my bike jack from her little brother. Then I'll be able to work on the cb500 at home.

I'm pretty excited for this to come together.
Lookong at gearing as i want to commute to work and eventually to meet up with my brother on this bike so i want some lower rpm on the highway. I knows seems counter productive to go with a smaller tire then want less rpms. Lol. We all cant be smart or practical though 😎😎😎

Are you going to stay with the knobby front tire? I remember some of the Honda powered choppers back when I was a kid in the 70's and it sounds like you are on the right track. Back then you had to use what you could get your hands on and the selection was much smaller without the internet.

I'm going to use that tire for mock-up and possibly a few miles of Shakedown but I'll be ordering a Bridgestone dual sport. As far as Street tread goes most of the tires I've found are too wide for the 1.60 by 23 front wheel I'm using.

Well had the free to go get my bike from my ole ladies dads house. Pushed it home and put it on a jack. This weekend time permitting should have the 16, 23 amd 8+ forks on!
Then start working on either cleaning up stuff or mounting the seat I got from the Bentons.

Yesterday threw the seat and tank on to get more of the effect. May mount the sissy bar so i can weld up the extra holes in the rear fender. If the ole lady doesnt get too mad at me might also whip up some spacers for the front wheel.

So, for the swing arm, are you using some type of bar in place of the shocks?

Yes, commonly referred to as a strut.
It is actually the stock shock with a hole drilled in the back side to release the oil and a piece of black Iron welded in.

Got outside with some free time today. Got the sissy most of the way mounted. Had to make new brackets for it. Made front axle spacers. This is a much better process with a digital caliper. Started to make a bike jack to use on the table. Didnt have everything i needed to finish it .

Yea, strut is what I meant, just couldn't think of what it was called at the time.

Thanks.

Bikes coming along nicely.

Got out to the bike today. Made a front and mid mount for the king and queen seat today. Also brought my old drag pipes home from my GFs dad's garage.
Got stuff the other day to make another set of handlebars.
Cant wait to get the time to work on those!
