I will miss Frank but cherish the motor-mount he made for my Bonneville race bike. We first met in 2009 at Bonneville. Four of us with CB750s and all had OEM exhaust :) He needed a rear tire so found an affordable unit at a salvage yard near Salt Lake City. He was part of my crew in 2018 and helped with tear-down after setting 4 records ;) Frank also helped another racer for beer and pizza.......the guy left the tavern while Frank was still quenching his thirst 8)

In May of 2017 I stopped to visit him in BC and had a good visit at the Starbucks. It would be cool to participate with the 'spreading of the ashes' at Bonneville.

You've gotta be one hell of a guy to pose with a bike with worn out duct tape on the seat like that. Notice his left hand still on the clutch. You're still teaching us what cool is aren't you Frank?

This post is my favorite in the whole thread -- some hero level stuff here for certain !!!

That photo with the googly eyes always made me chuckle, and his posts always had such personality. Every photo he is smiling. Salt of the earth you are, Frank. I posted to the obituary page that I hope heaven is one big highway with a 750 that doesn't need gas or maintenance. lol

I noticed the happy look on his face in the pics too. Frank was coaching me on a purchase of cb speed parts and even offered to front some money for a couple items if I needed it. I'm still learning about these things even after being around them since the 70's and already miss his help. Thanks to the guys that are coaching me in his absence.
  Thanks again, Frank.  Ride easy.

I didn't know Frank beyond his posts on the site here. He seemed to be a very genuine and generous human being in every sense of those descriptions. After reading some of these tributes here, it further reinforces that belief.

I was wondering where he was, as there were no new posts for over a month, which didn't make sense. I discovered he had passed from aother poster in the parts wanted section and Scotty confirmed that with this link.

Hopefully Frank.... there is every possible iteration of any CB750 ever made, or thought up where your at presently. With a choice to ride and wrench to your hearts content.

Cheers,

WOW I'm in shock having just read the sad news here. I'd met and raced against Frank back in the day, and so it was like a reliving of our younger days to reconnect with him on here. And it turned out we had several mutual friends in his Kelowna BC area as well. I'll never forget the photo of him riding a wheelie across a frozen lake on his 750. 754's ice racer... I took these pics, the other day...I think these may have been some of the last parts sold by Frank.  I am not sure if he actually made these or not.  Pretty sure he designed them and had someone with cnc equipment mill them out.
gh3d9x.jpg" border="0
Frank wanted to provide hardware kits with them and I was still waiting on what he would come up with when he passed...so I spent quite a few minutes at the local hardware store and the best I could come up with was some rather plain hex head cap screws, just a bright zinc plating.  But definitely a better tribute to Frank installed on a bike serving a purpose than horded away in a dusty old stash of parts.  My main rider

I've had a lot going on and haven't visited this site much lately but I just noticed this. I never got the chance to meet Frank but I do have a weldless frame kit of his. All I can say is that I'm stunned by the news, he was a major contributor to this site with his knowledge and always willing to help someone. He will be missed.

RIP Frank.  Just saw this today.  Frank seemed like a really nice guy.  The kind of guy you hope to find when you have some bike issues.  I was badly in need of a frame kit and didn't want the wels format.  I bugged Frank a few times when he started talking about it.  He came across.

Well I was looking at my email this morning for a Frank who had sent me some PMs and email last August helping me figure out the values of some NOS Morris Mags, rear brake conversions for the K models to disc and Tickle Rearsets a friend was selling. When I scrolled down through the email replies I saw his name and it clicked it was the one and same Frank M. A very reaching out kinda guy he was.

Frank was a great guy! I miss him. You never know (unless you decide to commit suicide then you might know) when your time on earth is up. So, be prepared to meet your maker as we aren't promised our next breath.

Frank has no more physical afflictions or pain or other issues. Those who counted him as a friend grieve for the loss of his presence.
You never get over the loss of a close friend, not that Frank and I were at all, or a family member as they are irreplaceable. You learn to live without them and you hold on to the good memories and keep one foot in front of the next ...
Some people are missed more than others.

Happy Easter everyone...
