This is one of the first threads I read through when I first found this forum.  And I'm still amazed with this bike, even after seeing all the other great bikes here.  Good job Ed!

Here are a couple pics from my buddies photo shoot for an motorcycle themed art show:

He was using some type of oldschool camera and had a problem with light getting in the pic, too bad as that was my favorite pic.

Nope, just pics with her.  He is going to take his favorite pic and produce a large print for a gallary art show.

Awesome bike and a great build thread.

One comment though... what is up with your rear brake rod?  That ain't right.

The chrome actuating rod on the drum cover should be more vertical than that.

Hi Ed,
If it's possible, can you post more pictures from the art show if you have them?  I thought your bike was beautiful before, but with the new model on it, it's even better!

Thank you for the compliments, I wish I was able to catch up with you hopterfixer!  I left the sideways cover because it pisses my old man off.  I got three covers chromed without paying too much attention, the one I used is off a 550 I think, hence the sideways logo....  Drives him nuts...

I just bought a '77 CB750 and I'm really interested in turning it into a cafe racer. Where did you find the rear shocks from?

I didn't see it in the Thread, but did you use the Dirt Trackers? and How did you address the mounting brackets for the bottom of the shock?

I love this bike!

They are called black trackers and can be found under street bike application guide.  They set the shock up to your weight and riding style.  You can also get custom lengths, I sent back the Works shocks I had on my Hellcat and had them rebuilt and lengthened 1/2" good stuff...

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my fork ears, brackets, and gaiters. I really like the stock gaiters, but they require the stock ears to fit properly. What gaiters are those and do they just fit snugly under the bottom tree?

Sick build by the way.

Thank you!  The gators are from Cycle X Change:

They work great by themselves without headlight ears.
