bad camera phone dark garage pictures, tomorrow I will get the real camera and get some pics in daylight. Polished for now, I will possibly real of fake spray annodize once I am sure I am happy w/ design and performance.

Full bike as she sits this morning...
I am loving the feel of the superbike bars, but it definitely made the bike look a lot less NASTY. I like NASTY, but NASTY hurt my wrists and hands too much on longer rides.

Any opinions on the bars or how to finish the brake arm?

red anodized to match the covers, and shine up the holes so you see 'em.

The red on your covers is a red anodize-look spray finish, yes? If so, your rear springs could use a touch of color, spray them up!

I vote red with polished holes on the brake arm. Do the little hanger strap for the exhaust the same way maybe?

+1 to that. I think a bit more red toward the rear of the bike will balance your scheme nicely.

Woa, How'd you finish the engine covers? That looks real close to the color red I'm gassing for on my '76 CB550. Damn first post after being on this site reading for everyday for the past month

the side covers are done with DupliColor MetalCast red, a fake annodize type transparent coating

I scotchbrited the chrome before applying, but I have used it straight over chrome or clean alloy with similar results. It scratches like any paint, but unlike real annodizing you can strip it easily and cleanly w/ aircraft stripper

Aight, after i get my 550 running I'm gonna def snag some of that paint to touch up some things till I can afford a powder coater.

i took mine off, it was too much, and looked a bit cheesy. gonna make one with 2 small, 1 big, 2 small, 1 big hole to go with the pattern i did on the rest of the bike.

love the way yours came out!

sometimes or often parts are made of selected material.. they could look the same but one may have 50 % more tensile strength..

The brake reaction bar is under tension not compression.
It should NOT be mounted so it is compression, like you see some people do. That is not safe.
I don't care that so and so did it, and I don' care that it worked. It is still supposed to be in tension NOT compression.
