wow what a discussion I've sparked. just ordered some beads and ill do a full review before and after. I've got brand new professionally laced rims on new rubber, new stear bearings, rear shocks, bronze swingarm bearings and fork oil. so this will be as close to no variables as well get I think. now I just have to get it running

Ok iam really interested in this product looking forward to the review.

I have done my test.  Really, I did it almost 2 weeks ago and was too lazy to post about it.

Ok, so I rode the bike like normal Sunday morning.  Now I am somewhat embarrassed to say that I have been experiencing a little head shake but never did anything about it.  After installing dyna beads I can now cruise down the road and take my hands off of the bars, something I could not do before. I still feel a small amount of head shake every once in a while,  I have put a few hundred miles on it since the install, but it is MUCH improved.

My brother and best friend did not believe me and said that it was probably in my head.  I wish to god I would have let them ride my bike before.

I have another set for my friends bike, but he is very skeptical.  I will try to talk him into it this weekend after our Sunday ride.

I am giving the product 2 big thumbs up. ;D ;D

Oh and if John (my friend) does not want to try these, I may hit up Greenjeans and see if he wants to give them a shot.

Recently I have come across another product that is similar.

So far we have discussed Dyna beads

There is another product available here on the East Coast of Canada called Dyna balls

They are manufactured in the same manner and size as the ceramic beads but they are stainless steel.

They are different in that they have a static electric charge. The deal is that the ceramic beads will fall to the bottom at a stop or very low speed whereas the steel balls will supposedly stay in place due to the static electricity once you have taken them for the maiden voyage.

This info comes right from the distributors mouth, who coincidentally is my auto mechanic (whose opinion I trust) and a fellow rider.

He has installed them in his bike with positive results as well. The distributor is Charlie at J&P Auto in Oromocto NB if anybody is interested in giving these a shot. He has do it yourself  kits or will install them for you in his shop.

I'd believe the dynabeads have a decent static charge, too, though. Just handling the bag has a few floating precariously in the static.  They're really weird to handle.

Kit, I commented on this to my friend (the distibutor of the balls) about the beads also being statically charged and he responsibly responded with "I don't know every detail about the competitions product, but it could be"

Interesting thing about static charges and time...

They both move on without regards to human desire.

We so far we got a good product plug. If that can be seconded, I think I might be heading that way.

I run 1 oz in each of my Roadriders. I have tubes in them as well simply because the PO had the foresight to use some sort of aggrigated concrete like mix in his fix a flat and the stuff partially solidified and gunked out the inards of the rim. I didn't think a tubeless tire like the Roadriders would seal, so I tubed them. No shakes or wobbles at speeds up to 70 mph for me.

I just started running them myself and I love'em and just as soon as I can my 2 cars and pick up will have them as well. I believe that they will extend the over all life of the tire due to the fact that no matter how tread comes off the tire , the tire will always be balanced. I posted a thread on here right after I installed mine and one member who's name I shall not say said their is no way they can work because of the law of phyics. I still have friend here localey that doughts them as well but he also believes that they don't make crotch rockets that run in the 175mph+ club either. I say to anyone that hasn't tried them give'em a shot I promise you'll be impressed.

Yes, yes, yes, we know who you are talking about.
I'm not going to try them, but I am going to take them to a wheel balancing shop and get real data on them.
Eventually.
No.

If dynabeads made the same cool sound as shoop-shoops, then it'd be worth something.

They do. The sound is so faint though, that it is not noticeable unless you do some of the circus trick riding with your head low to the ground. I used a palm sander to vibrate them in. Some of the little nano like bastads got away from me though.

Keep in mind you'll only be using these on tubeless, unless you find a way to get 'em in the tube!  ;)
.
I read in a Harley forum this morning about a guy using them and he says you remove the pin in the valve stem and pour them in. he removed his wheel weights and claims that it works great.

Yeah, you unscrew the thing in the valve stem, put 'em in real slow, then screw it back in and it's on like a thong two sizes too small. 8)  My bike's tubed and rides like it's on glass (well, aside from being temporarily under-damped...)

The valve? I remove them anytime I have to change a tube. Sure helps to make sure there is no air trapped. Never had a leak issue.

Actually, putting them in a tube would make them shoop-shoop more easily and work better.

Yeah I'd say it's pretty important to remove your wheel weights after you add the dynabeads.  I marked where mine had been, but saw much improvement on removing them.

Yep. I took in a wheel to be balanced, had old weights on it, tire was on teh wheel when I bought the bike.
Guy had to take off the weights to get it balanced.... was balanced without any weights at all....
No.
