Hi Cody, Meridian works.

Hi John,

I will plan to join you in meeting in Meridian and riding back.  I am kind of late to the party this year and will probably be riding my CBX as the 750 needs a bit of work right now, but my job is keeping me very busy.

If I understand it, we would be meeting Cody in Meridian then riding back and over to Barbers?  Best I can tell the dates are looking like April 21 or 28, 2012 and of course subject to change based on progress from the West?

Will Atlanta group pick up from Birmingham or are there other plans for leaving Birmingham?

Kirk

JTB,

Ok, we are headed to MS the weekend of April 21, right?

And Cody, are you sure that you are picking up in MS?  JTB and I plan to pick up in MS on the 21st to take GZ to Barber's in Birmingham.  Then the Atlanta riders pick up and it goes up through TN after that and starts back westward.

At the moment that appears to be the plan.  Leave on the 21st around 7 or so, should put us in Hattiesburg about lunch time.  I wouldn't mind riding something besides interstate, let's look for an alternate.

jtb,
If you want to meet up at the Alford Avenue Chevron (1301 Alford Ave, Birmingham, AL. 35226), we could ride down Shades Mountain the back way into Helena.  Then from there I know the way to Maplesville.  From there to Selma etc. like this:
http://mapq.st/I0QFyk

This route would take more time, but some of the roads are pretty nice getting to Maplesville.  Beyond that I don't know what the roads are like.

We would always have the option of breaking west to pick up I59 if time got short.

great news, thanks to my wife, i got the bike back running today, took it for aproximately ten mile ride with the headlight on, and the battery only dropped .2v with my 12 volt meter. just have to fix a small oil leak from one of the screws, but not a big leak.

Well the TN handoff should be at the Chattanooga ChooChoo, eh? At least it would make for a good photo op!

Any word as to KY riders? Silverback was the dude we met up there last year.

Lookout Mtn., Ruby Falls, the ChooChoo would be a good handover spot IMO...... then TN boys could take the plastic lad up to western KY and handoff to Coke... ( best spot for him = W. KY )......... thoughts ?

Hey Ray

I like the Lookout Mt. Ruby falls. See rock City ideas. That keeps us out of downtown. Nice photo ops too.

Awesome!  Which day are we meeting at the Dinner Bell?

I finally broke down and bought an AGM myself...  I had a $30 off $75 coupon to Advance Auto so that helped.  So far, so good!

Let me know when we are meeting.

planning to meet at the dinner bell Thursday or Friday for lunch if that's ok.

took the bike to town and it is definitely charging, the 35 miles form my house to town going 55-60, the voltage didn't drop any, it only slightly dropped when riding in town under 40, but the battery shows 12.0v when the key is off and 11.6 or 11.7 with the key on and headlight on.  the bad news is the small oil leak turned out to be a big oil leak after the bike was warmed up and i had it pumping oil onto the parking lot, so i have new gaskets ordered and in the mail now, should be here Tuesday, if not wed.

I can meet in Hattiesburg anytime next weekend, do yall have a preference on type of food if we meet for lunch?
