Coming along nicely B. Should have used those extra tappet covers to protect the threads during powdercoat. I have a set I use exclusively for coating valve covers. When we ridding?
Last time I did that and I ruined my cam cover because blasting media worked its way into the threads and and I couldn't remove the caps. The tappet covers actually broke!

The point is bits of bead get into the coarse threads. The caps thread in OK but when you try to back them out they jam up bad. It blows the threads out Tige. You have to take a toothbrush etc with brake cleaner to get the crap out. I have problems screwing the caps in, blasting , cleaning but enough $hit was there to F up the cover threads. Be careful and clean the hell out of those threads. I have 2 perfect covers that are f'd up that I use for painting now......lesson(s) learned.

They would seal well and are easy to remove.
This 3.5" wide rim looks great.
