leaking gasoline

my son and i went for ice cream this evening and we're sitting near the bike eating our sundays and i  see somthing dripping from the back of the motor ,its gas comming from one of the hoses that connects to the bottoms of the carbs :o any ideas on what would cause that??? needless to say i turned off the petcock and finnished my icecream sunday

Drunk 'an all as I am....seems like a sticking float, Give the carb assy an 'oul kick and see if it stops.....hic.

Statler & Waldorf if I remember correctly, Need to change it again though.
They were cranky 'oul f****rs and I was relating at the time.

Hit the offending carb with the side of a plastic screwdriver. If it stops....your a hero...if it doesn't get in there and figure out why the needle to the float isn't closing off.

Hope you had a great ice cream with your son ;D

thanks P  always wondered about that. :D  what a great site - answers for every question ;D   Ernie - how about that for replies - two that concur on the cause of the leak and two methods on how to fix it ;D

As long as you haven't been inside of the carbs, is probably a  sticky float, if you have, you may have the float height set wrong.....   when in doubt....hit it with a screwdriver...lol
