Nominate for Bike Of The Month - September 2012
« on: August 02, 2012, 11:24:27 AM »
It's Nominatin' Time!
August 2012 BOTM Voting Threadhttp://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=110039.0

Congratulations matcoff1 for being the July 2012 BOTM winner!

I will let this run until about 8/15/12 and then start the voting thread.

Please Nominate, Second and Accept using those words.  It makes it easier for me to setup the voting threads.  It gets cryptic at times.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Wonder if we should add something a bit different this time around.  It has been a while since these styles have been up for nomination.  Here are a couple suggestions.  I am not nominating these, just suggesting.  If you likee, nominate.

SOHC Digger

Z-MO

Hey Gurp, can you add a pic of the bike along with Scott's forum name.  I will use it for the Voting thread.  I am unfamiliar with this bike, I think.

I just happened to stumble across one of his posts that led me to his build thread.  Here is a pic I grabbed from that build thread.

Whoa, I'm honored :) I will humbly accept, because the other bikes look great!

I'm still cleaning, and making little adjustments, and changing little pieces (taillight, mirrors, signals), but after as many hours as I put into this bike I guess I can call it 'done enough!'

Here's a link to my thread: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=96549.0

Here it is, fresh off the streets of San Francisco's Mission District with a 'FREE' sign on it...

And, after countless hours spent in my dad's shop learning how to rebuild a CB750, with much help and many parts from this very forum.

I've got a HiPo cam and an ARD Magneto for when I have to rebuild the motor some day.

Thanks Again!
