These Webers were no fun to rebuild, but they are supposed to be fun to run.  I have an RC manifold, and a new CB450 twin throttle cable to run them.  I have to work on the linkage a little bit, and buy some different emulsion tubes (the ones I had are very rich), and a matching spill jet (I have 1 55 and 1 60).

Bought this triple black tank from Bill Benton a couple years ago.  Got a few little things done, but not much progress to look at until I get the webers mounted...the carbs are done, but I gotta rebuild a petcock.  Picked up 7 nos Honda clutch plates for $30 on ebay..score!

Muahahahaha 8) 8) I always liked shiny black bikes! I've got some nasty bits saved up for a motor rebuild over this coming fall/winter too...K0 head, kibblewhite valves/springs, and a couple hot cams to choose from...should be fun!

Stev-o, gonna use stock chrome fenders front n back, smaller K0,K1 taillight..don't want to do the hoop!

Agreed!  Did I read somewhere the Webers will be in the way of the stock petcock?

Will you install them before Fall?  You know, we can't wait!

I tried to install them last week, but the stock air box tabs were in the way, and I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong...they have to be bent.  I want to fire it up in the next few weeks just to know that everything's working.  I still need to order a battery, install the grips, throttle cable/tube, and the coils at the bare minimum to get it going.

I bent the airbox mounting tabs as far up and out as I could, but they're still interfering with the Webers, so I'm gonna get some help from my dad and shave those off.  I still need to dig up/rebuild, or buy a new petcock..and I'm procrastinating on getting wheels together.  OH, and my dad has a '68 VW bus (dark red/white two tone paint) that we're going to rebuild together.  It's a beaut, and is mostly rust free aside from the windshield where it was exposed to the elements for a decade.  I'll post some pics next week...I'm super stoked on that project :D

I am gearing up to rebuild the K1 motor soon, so I picked up as much prep stuff I could buy without inspecting the internals first.  I'll order main bearings, transmission bearings (and possibly CycleX gears if they're trashed) and primary chains and a tensioner when I get it all opened up.

I've posted this several times, but here it is once again, try to get all NOS and yamiya stuff directly via JT (jtmarks77 on ebay). I ordered almost $700 worth of stuff for the K3 and shipping was only $12 within US. Not to mention he gets a discount on yami stuff and passes some of it along.

It might just be the weak yen, but they're actually cheaper (despite shipping) for some stuff.
For example, one of the parts I just bought:
http://www.yamiya750.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=246_21_249_68&products_id=46
vs.
Twice the price, but free shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-New-750-Cam-Chain-Tensioner-Roller-200-350-750-CB750A-CB750F-14601-312-000-/221833724245?hash=item33a6520155:g:VnsAAOSw3ydVr5uu&vxp=mtr

It really depends on how much you're buying, and how much individual items weigh...small, or heavy orders often don't make sense from Yamiya.

JT does direct invoicing too, I can get you his email (non ebay). Even for small stuff, at least I, have always found a better deal via him. I don't buy anything from his ebay listings, he has to mark them up because of the fees and other hassle there.

Classic ride.  My buddy's family had one when we were growing up.  It became the surf vehicle when we turned 16.
