This part is no longer available, but is there some way to get it back, even as an aftermarket piece? CB750supply

We really need these, because they are worn out, and hardened now. I think there is a way to make one from a silicone, or Viton o-ring, attached to a cylindrical piece that fits into the piston. Attaching it securely is the problem.
Any innovators in here that can solve this?

Somebody was trying to take a round call on remakes - if you mean the valve that stops oil from flowing out of the ol tank when the engine is nit running.

I threw this by Jeff At Z1 without much interest. No word from CycleX. Someone posted that there may be something in the works without divulging any detail.

We need to find an OEM place.

MRieck IIRC, mentioned CycleX may offer new or reconditioned pumps in the future.

My experience has been that replacing. or rather wanting to replace, that part is overkill. Most of the time they hang up from debris. A thourough cleaning will put them back in service.

Just my experience and observation of others experience.

HondaMan threatened to make some over 3 years ago. Not enough demand, I suppose, as he reconditions the pumps in many ways but not that part.

They are in the works (not by me). The rubber was lab analyzed using an old OEM stopper, a NOS piece and an aftermarket part. This was done by a company who's business is rubber goods production. The molds have to be made but the gentleman doing this is a very busy individual. He is also a great guy but that is besides the point. I do not know when the project will be completed BUT the critical analysis has been completed......that I do know.

Ahh, thanks for the update and correction. Nobodies gonna get rich over that part, so the effort is appreciated.

If new ones were available I'd buy them. Nothing wrong with that. Wanting to feel good about it.

In the mean time, I'd say clean the old one, clean the pump, replace what one can, and run it. Running an old stopper valve probably wouldn't keep anyone off the road and easy enough to swapout when the time comes.

...I just bought 3 stopper together with the spring.
Next week I am going to pull the oil pump and put one of these into it. If my K1 rest for ~2-3 days the oil tank is looking empty

Check t it a few days ago by my K2, the bike wasn't moved about 3 month but all the oil is still in the oil tank.

...bought may be the last 3 here in Germany from a friend, not sure if I can get more from him and I do not know if this REPRO-stuff will work, have to check it next week at the K1 oil pump.
And why do You thinking that I do not want share the source ? If I can I am always helping !

We are just wanting these badly. As soon as you can, please give us more info. We really want to stock up on these. The part is not all that special, just oddly shaped. Any high temp silicone, or Viton of reasonable hardness would work just fine.

I agree. The rubber gets hard and the spring isn't very stiff. Probably the only down side with that dry sump system. Other than that it is a great system even today. I'll talk to my buddy (though I'm sure he has seen this thread). He will have more time after September....I'd expect something then. He isn't a BS kind of fella at all and already paid for the analysis. Just got to CNC the molds. This stuff takes time as the people involved have regular jobs etc. Believe me...I know.
