Just carted this home for $100  8)
1978 750F
Rebuilt top end
Complete set of rebuilt PD42A carbs
.....now to get cleaning  :P

Couldn't tell the diff.  F or K?  Enlighten me.
Not near a pc to look up case numbers.

 HEY THAT LOOKS LIKE AN F MOTOR  BLACK, DOME PISTONS , INTAKE RUBBERS DOES YOUR OIL FILTER HAVE TWO PEICES OR ONE THE F MOTOR HAS A FINNED PLATE ALONG WITH THE FILTER HOUSING

I'm just going off the case and valve cover. Looks flat black. Actually, I was told Honda used 60% gloss black.

Good score, I love it when a seller gets in over their head.....:-)  The rebuilt head is worth twice what you paid if you have priced tools or shop rates lately.

Yup money well spent. Definitely an F motor. If the valve guides were not changed you might want to replace them if you plan on running that motor. Something to consider anyway. The F's are known for guide wear. Also, don't lose those 2 little oil jets on top of the head. The only thing keeping them from falling out is the o-rings.

Oil jets still there  ;) definitely looking inside to see if the guides were replaced.  Not in a hurry though. It needs to be stripped and painted.  This will probably go in next fall. That's my hope anyway.
Pistons marked 410... rings look new, but I'm not sure.
Too many unmarked baggies, cups full of bolts, screws, widgets.
Sorting and comparing to my HM book and fiche will suck, but i will learn.

Engine starting 31 is 78 F according to ID guide
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!
